So... H stayed with me the WHOLE time. The surgeon was able to talk to him while I was in recovery. Everything went great. He did go to his dinner, but I am well taken care of right now.

The general anesthesia was okay. I had my panic moment when I felt like I couldn't breathe in the oxygen mask. The anesthesiologist said, don't worry, you will feel tired soon. And I didn't even get there - I was just out and the next thing I knew, I was in recovery. Kinda creepy that chemicals are that strong and you just have to cede control as they do stuff on you.

H never showed any kind of impatience and he really was irritated that work pressured him to go to the dinner. I feel very loved. (And super sleepy - time to get some recovery rest.)

Thank you all for your support and prayers.

I'm so glad things went well for you and that you are feeling loved and cared for.

I can totally understand where you were coming from as general anesthesia is my number one biggest fear. I have never had surgery and hope and pray I never need it. Get lots of rest. Best wishes for a full and speedy recovery.

Glad you are through the surgery and the scary part. Hope the rest of your recovery goes well too.
