So, if you don't know my story, XWH married the OW about a month after our D was final. She moved here with her two kids, and they've been reenacting The Brady Bunch with her kids and mine when mine are there for visitation. Everything has been mostly peachy keen (which I'm glad about in the sense that my kids are okay), but I will also admit that it's been annoying to hear about the good times of the happy family.

Anyway... my XWH emails me a couple of days ago to ask if the kids have ever been stung by bees, had bad reactions, etc. Apparently, his house (my former marital home) has an infestation of bees... not on the outside... the INSIDE. I guess that the other family members (not my kids, fortunately) have gotten stung. The exterminator has been and gone, and my kids were just there for an overnight, so I guess it's taken care of.

So, okay. Lots of people have bug problems. And then I heard the next incident.

My DD told me that she couldn't use one of the upstairs bathrooms "because of the flood" and that the "kitchen ceiling fell in." Well, she's little, so I figured that she must be wrong. I ask DS #1 about this, and he says, "Oh, yeah! The upstairs toilet overflowed, and the ceiling of the kitchen and the downstairs bathroom both caved in!" This happened while my kids were with me.

Is it terrible that I laugh at these situations? Please note that they are only humorous to me because no one got hurt (aside from some minor bee stings that did not result in hospitalization). I can just imagine how much XWH had to hold it together when he saw the disaster in his house; with his temper, that must have been some effort. I'm sure that the repair will be no small amount; that will likely be a nice kick in the pocketbook, which will infuriate him.

I wonder what their third thing will be? No two without three! Sing along with Boy George and the Culture Club, if you like: "Karma karma karma karma karma chameleon..."

Did you perhapse take care of home maintenance when you were married? My STBXWH never did more than change a lightbulb or plunge a toilet. I can't imagine what he would do if he suddenly had to deal with those types of problems. Probably call me for advice!

Edited to correct stupid typos.

I wonder if something is going on this season....my friend from high school kept finding dead yellow jackets/bees in her living room, an exterminator came in and they found nests in her walls, with hundreds of yellow jackets/bees. Before these two stories, I've never heard of it.

There is absolutely no need for a bad conscience about laughing about these matters !
I always have a ball hearing about past episodes when DD vomited in WHs car when they were on a "Disney" kind of outing with OW and made DD eat all kinds of crappy food.

One day DD told me that OW bakes horrible cookies which were all burnt (I love baking...)-

At the end there will be justice- I have finally found my peace in this conclusion.

If you didn't chuckle at this ass clown's misfortune, I would be worried.

He and OW deserve every bug and broken toilet the karma gods can muster!!!! Maybe locusts will be next.
