This is my first experience with a shared laundry room. I'm a haphazard housekeeper to begin with, and doing laundry is no different. I'm always forgetting to take my clothes out of the machines.

After 4 hours (I was correcting my final exam for the new 'job') I remembered I had clothes in the washer. When I got to the laundry room, both dryers were off but had laundry in them. One was still damp but the other had dry, somewhat warm clothes in it. I took them out and put mine in. Then I folded the other persons clothes (not the underwear and socks )

WWYD? Is what I did creepy? I just don't know...

I solemnly swear that I am up to no good.

When I was an apartment dweller, if the dryer was finished, but no one came back within 5-10 minutes of my waiting, I took out the clothes and put them neatly on the counter. I didnt fold anything, but I didn't just throw the stuff in a big bundle on the floor or table either.

I'd buy you an ice cream if I saw you folded my laundry

Seriously...I may be a little creeped out but I would be more grateful then anything

I probably wouldn't be creeped out... I'd assume it was a "motherly" type that did it.

I left some clothes in my dryer, would you like to come fold mine?

Seriously though, that was very considerate of you. I would just pull out the laundry and either leave it on the counter or put it in their basket if it was still there.

You know, I've had my laundry stolen, loads stopped in the middle of the cycle and thrown on absolutely filthy floors (white loads, of course) and even one load that was covered with coffee grounds (long story involving a window and some moron's bad aim). Want to know what's creepy? Stealing someone's granny panties!

I would have given anything to have my laundry not tampered with, much less folded. High five, Sad!

What are you going to do when he leaves you?

This is my first experience with a shared laundry room

Lucky you! ^^^^

I had my own for exactly a year and a half in my whole life.

10 years sharing with my mom, so that only half counts....

Back to sharing with two other suites now, it's not bad.

I'm used to it and wouldn't fold, just put on top of the dryer if it's done.

I think that is hilarious that you folded their laundry.

Now, you may have set a precedent, Sad. These people will make sure they do their laundry whilst you are doing yours so they can get their laundry folded. BTW, I hate folding laundry.

I ALWAYS forgot about my laundry, so I actually made up a magnetic thingy that i stuck to the laundry that basically said that I am really sorry if i have forgotten it, please knock on my door, or if the clothes are dry throw them in the basket...

I lived at one place long enough that the sign was unecessary - i would always feel bad but i would just get really into something or just totally space out and forget...
