So WH has had pain in his chest, on one side, off and on for about a year, maybe longer (yes, the length of the A and before that).

It usually faded with reflux meds and he was diagnosed 9 years ago with GERD. It started back pretty intense around the time all this crap came out and I often see him rubbing that area of his chest.

Today the Zantac wasn't touching it and I talked him into going into the doctor. He ended up in the ER and we just got home from a bunch of tests. Long story short they wanted to keep him because of an abnormality in his EKG but since he refused to stay (in a polite way) they are asking he calls first thing in the morning to set up a stress test.

I wish he had stayed tonight. I will be up all night checking on him. Damnit...two months ago I wanted to kill him (so to speak but not actually) ...now I just want to be sure he doesn't die.

Topper, I am sorry you two are dealing with this right now. On top of everything else, good grief! Just batten down the hatches and get through tonight and tomorrow. It may not be as bad as you are thinking.

(((hugs)))

The good news is he's being closely monitored in the best place possible.

Try to keep your stress down now as much as you can.

The sucky thing is that on top of this, my mom has eye surgery on Thursday, our 18 year old cat is sick and dying, and we have counseling sessions out our tails this week. I had a brief panic attack earlier today because of it all, but I'm trying to stay calm. I actually forgot to worry about the pregnancy today. Guess i better set aside to worry about how I'm having little to no symptoms. *sigh*

Forgot to add my MIL is also going to the cardiologist for stress testing results on Thursday. None of us are big fans of the MIL, but still....her being sick always adds more stress. She makes sure of that.
