I thought Just Found Out would be the appropriate bucket for this one. Today was my one year anniversary of D-day (part 2...the big one)

We're fully divorced now and living our own lives. Looking back, it's so hard to believe one year ago I was still willing to make it work in spite of all she's done. I never dreamed that I'd be sitting here in a calm place of acceptance.

Don't get me wrong, I would rather have kept my marriage but this is so much better than that emotional roller coaster with that constant feeling of an elephant sitting on hour chest.

To all those newbies who just found out: If you think time won't heal, take heart.... I'm living proof that one day you'll look back on this period and think to yourself "what the he'll was that?"

Me(39) - BH
Her(38) - XWW
Kids - 2
Married: 15 yrs
D-DAY: 10-23-2012
Length of A: [depends on what day you ask her]

I am sorry, and happy that you are moving on. It's been almost a year for me, too. (I don't have one particular D-Day, I just slowly realized the truth.) It is so strange to hear all the news (Hurricane Sandy) of things that happened a year ago. My husband asked me for a divorce on Election Day last year. Although he has changed his mind many times since then, that day will always bring back sad memories.

DD - 10/12
11/3/12 - he asked for divorce
11/15/12 - beginning of R
April '13 - he says he is DONE no chance of further R

Just wanted to say good for you.

Your STBXWW has left you in limbo long enough.

What a coward she turned out to be.

Sometimes the TT is worse than the cheating.

Go enjoy life and your kids.
