I have my IPad set to wake me up with nice music in the morning instead of a clock radio.

This week it's Penny Lane. I find myself singing it constantly throughout the day.

Makes me think, what about folks who wake up to the news.

The first thing you hear in the morning stays with you all day long.

I'd rather carry Penny Lane.

I have a wretched habit of waking up before my alarm, so I guess it's the sun. I'm still kind of a bear in the morning though and refuse to get out of bed until I snooze four times. Maybe it is time to change my alarm to something more charming. Thanks for the idea.

I frequently wake up to "Mom?"

Sort of cute because I love my kids, but sort of frustrating when I'm being denied a full night of sleep!

Annoying morning radio show hosts. We need that motivation to actually get out of bed and turn the alarm off

I wake up to our cat meowing for my DD to get up or Christmas bells from my phone.

What a great idea!

I always wake up to the clock radio and am a huge snooze button fan... like about 45 minutes' worth.

I just downloaded an app called "Rain, Rain Sleep Sounds" for my iPhone - I'm going to give that a try.

Thanks for the idea!

Well sleep sounds might not help wake you up.... But Good Day Sunshine just might.

My only problem about waking up with familiar tunes is that I tend to dream about the music from my alarm rather than wake up. Familiar music with happy memories might put me firmly back in dreamland.

I have found this too.

I was grouchy when the alarm buzzer would go off, nothing like waking up with your heart racing.

It is so much nicer to have Justin Timberlake, Adam Levine or Adele wake me up now and yes one day my theme song was Sexy Back.

I have an IPOD dock that is also a clock radio at the bedside....I found two apps on "Itunes" I really like....
One is called "Sleep Sounds" which is all "noises"...everything from cat's purring to lawn mowers, to the ocean (the one I like)....
The other is "Sleep Songs"...which is lovely relaxing music to go to sleep to, and some that is more up beat to wake to....you can make custom selections too...
Both allow you to set the time length you want them to play for.
I find if I wake in the middle of the night I flip one or the other on and it helps me go back to sleep....

Since it's cold outside, I've been waking up snuggling with a corgi.

Haha, sad- I carry the joy that they give me through the day, but they're too chubby to carry ALL day.
