yesterday morning my wife and I went to therapy and discussed quite a few issues we had been struggling with, we both came out of therapy feeling emotionally close
reestablishing intimacy has been a challenge for us
so it was my thought to break this barrier between us.

I went to V.I.P ( a specialty shop) and purchased a gift, a vibrator.

Then I decided to get a card to go along with the gift. As I searched through the cards, I couldn't find and appropriate match.

Suddenly, I looked down and saw the get well cards and started laughing out loud. I purchased a card that simply said, "Get Well Soon".

I gave the card to my wife feeling embarrassed and nervous about her response. At first she looked perplexed and then she laughed. Still feeling embarrassed I handed her the gift. Then we both laughed. We still haven't stopped laughing.

I was pretty sure she was ready to see the humor of this gift. I took a chance and it seemed to have been worth it.

We laughed together.

Any time you can share a laugh together, it's a good thing.
Good job on fighting through your nervousness.
Keep moving forward

My wife and I have both shared some pretty dark humor in the months following her affair. It takes some of the power away from the hurt, and gives us some common ground.

And honest laughter, with someone you care for, is always a good thing
