The good news is that we settled. Took the full two hours of the pretrial a couple of weeks ago, but it is done now. The judgment entry will be submitted in January for tax purposes.
So Waffle has a new job as a regular floor RN, having been fired twice from more senior nursing positions. He is back to rotating shifts and every other weekend. This means he's working one weekend and has the kids on his off weekend. It has seriously cut into the poor thing's MOW time. Awww. In his infinite wisdom, during his first weekend after the divorce settlement, he decides it's a great idea to take the kids to OW's house for the entire weekend, Friday night to Monday morning, driving them across two counties to get them to school.

When discussing with him the appropriateness of having the kids sleep over at her place ("she's daddy's very best friend, mama, he calls her 'my love'. She's so super nice!") after the usual defensive bullshit, he bursts out with this gem: "it's good for the kids to see a model of a positive, healthy relationship"

OMG, the Gnat said the same thing to me! After DDay he told me that he was leaving me for her, because the kids needed to see what a healthy relationship looks like. What a bunch of idiots.

More importantly, the kids need to see what not to do.

They do seriously get dropped on their heads in the D.

The sad clowns response to my refusal to acknowledge requests when he sends them via my 5.5 year old - he's trying to teach her to be responsible for her things. No arseface - you can't keep your dick in your pants, you're putting her in the middle.

Oh my - I laughed so hard I almost wet my pants. He got crickets but what I would have said:

Don't worry your little head about stuff your brain can't compute, dude. I have it covered.

Woody- The word I'm searching for, I can't say, because there are Pre-school toys here.

After 10 years, I have a theory: the more they exchange fluids, the more brain cells are destroyed. The excuses will only get crazier.

When DD4 was 10 she asked him why he married me-he told her he THOUGHT he loved me. When she asked him why he married OW? " I feel weird living with her and not being married to her."

There you have it folks the best reason to get married-you feel weird!

You just can't make this shit up.

Good news, eventually you get a chuckle out of the crazy way they justify their actions. Sort of like a side show-you can't not look away.

I trust you is a better compliment than I love you, because you may not trust the person you love, but you can always love the person you trust. - Unknown

I want to laugh at that, but it truly makes me angry. (What he said, not the baby .gif--THAT makes me laugh!)

"it's good for the kids to see a model of a positive, healthy relationship"
Is he fucking kidding? Does he believe his own shit that spews from his mouth? Wow, he's delusional.

D-day OW#1 2/2004; R for 6 years; D-day OW#2 5/2010

Marriages that start this way, stepping over the bodies of loved ones as the giddy couple walks down the aisle, are not likely to last.

Seriously, who are these people we married? And more importantly, why isn't there a mental disorder defined that would require them to be locked up and treated?!
