I just had a chuckle at the new festive SI theme.

Geez. It made me livid last year - livid. Irrationally so. I was SO pissed off. I think I even posted about it.

The adorable santa gif pissed me off. Dr Phil Santa-fied pissed me off. The green and red pissed me off. Even the snowflakes pissed me off.

Yes. The.Snowflakes.Pissed.Me.Off.

I noticed because I started grinning when I noticed them the other day. But then I remembered that I hated them. Only I don't. This year they make me happy.

What a difference a year makes.

It hit me hard in the gut when I first saw it. I'm trying to avoid thoughts of holidays right now.

Another mile marker passed on the path to healing - not wanting to rip Santa's smiling face off, or kill the cute Teddy Bear!

I joined SI in December of 2010 and thought this sort of stuff was "normal" as well as thematic. The next year Dr. Phil in a Santa hat triggered a "OMG, shudder" response as it reminded me of how much pain I was in the year before. Now, the dancing tree and happy teddy bear just make me smile.

I guess we can measure our growth by our response to Christmas gifs on SI

that tip-toeing Santa is hysterical to me. It's like my STBXH sneaking out with more of his shit. lol
I will never look at Santa the same way again!

The tip-toeing Santa makes me think of men sneaking off quietly to be with their APs.

The SI Guides are Minions, and I like to call him "Jive Santa".

Glad to see your perspective has changed!

I've always referred to him as Creeper Santa.

Glad the snowflakes are no longer pissing you off, SBB.

((Lostandpregnant)), I wondered if anyone felt the same this year and previously. I'm glad to know I'm not crazy (I remember holding my hand up to not see the moving pics, that's how much they bothered me). Please know your joy will return.

@ Take2, They should put that in a healing brochure.

I guess I''m a scrooge cause it always irritates me. If you donate you can use "Simplicity" which doesn''t have any annoying gifs.

LOL on the creeping Santa!

Well, my toddler loves the snowman tipping his cap, so it's not making me sad anymore.
I do find it hard to read on here with her making me leave it on the snowman tho..lol.
