Wasn''''t able to eat at all for 5 days...but am eating again and have no isssues...am just hoping I can avoid turning to food for comfort...need to lose...not gain. So far have managed to avoid making food a comfort measure.

Sadly still having days like that at 15 months out. My go to is yogurt and crackers. ;(

Cabot, please try eat healthy as much as you can. Get some nourishment shakes if necessary. I remember the non eating phase and lost a lot of weight for my size (was always slim) which only made me look sick and i was prone to catching every big that came along and also made me look much older (can't believe how much this journey has aged me!). The anxiety and lack of sleep doesn't help either so, please Be selfish! Think about you and your health.

Couldn't eat for about a week, then when I did, couldn't keep it in. Lost 50lbs, about 25% of body weight. Couldn't talk about anything to anybody at first, so when friends asked why I was skin and bones, I just told them I was sick. (I'm normally healthy.)

I went out to eat with a couple of friends, that helped, after that I would try to eat foods that I hadn't eaten in a long time, or try something new. I did it by myself or with "safe" friends, those I knew I could count on. Also took my kids to a resturant that they and I both like (did not take the WW) and had a good time with them.

At five months past dday, I'm still slimmer than normal, but getting my appetite back. I was talking to my sister yesterday and mentioned to her that over the last few days, I felt like I couldn't get enough to eat. I think it's due to some of the progress I made in healing.

Good luck!

For sleeping I usually have to talk to a friend before I can sleep luckly I have a few I can count on and one friend is a counclier i talk to that one on the really bad nights. Still takes me about 2 hrs to fall asleep and if I wake up there's not much chance of me falling back a sleep. Still can't watch tv or listen to the radio to many triggers.

I'm a month since DDay. I've lost 22 lbs.

I exist on beer, water, ensure, the occasional Triscuit, canned fruit. Maybe a hard boiled egg. This is basically all I've been able to eat in 30 days.

Not fun, but food is not going down just yet.

Still not eating much a month out from dday.

Today was a good day. Fruit for breakfast and half a sandwich for lunch. Though it all made me feel ill.

I'm staying alive on instant hot chocolate, coffee, and microwave popcorn.

Pretty much all I ate for a couple of months were takis (think corn chip rolled up and spicy) and frozen yogurt. I didn't really eat much of either, and still lost 25 pounds, but it had to be something I liked to be able to choke it down.

For the first week I could barely eat anything. Absolutely everything made me nauseous. Even when I did feel hungry, as soon as I tried to eat, I felt sick.

Start slow. Chocolate protein shakes, super cold with a straw, is where I finally started. A little yogurt, some string cheese, and a little bowl of goldfish crackers. Just keep trying things till you find something that works. For me the key was mostly bland foods, nothing too spicy or even highly flavored.

Drink plenty of water. Being dehydrated will compound your already-feeling-lousy into much worse. Pay attention to how much you are peeing. If its hardly at all, and its dark yellow, PLEASE you need to drink more water!

Sleep was a huge issue for me. But I'm sensitive to absolutely anything that says "may cause drowsiness", so I started taking a generic diphenhydramine sleep aid. This is basically like a Benadryl. My doctor assured me this was fine, not habit forming and no ill effects, and I was free to do that as long as I needed to. I took it daily for awhile, then needed it less and less. I rarely need it anymore.

The first few weeks are the worst. I feel for all of you that are there. It was not so long ago for me either. Please know that you will be okay, you will get through this, even though it doesn't feel that way right now.

((hugs to all!))
