Toffee? Caramel? Candied orange peel?

Inquiring (and half-blind) minds want to know.

They are so bad for you (loaded with sugar), but so addictive!

How hard is it to make? I might need to try that.

It's not hard to make, but it is so time consuming.

Why do you eat orange peels? I've never heard of this.

Ama - they're really easy to make. The drying part takes time, but the basic idea is to boil the pieces of peel in a syrup of water and sugar, drain them, coat with more sugar, and leave them alone to dry.

Lots of variations on the web. You can do lemon peel, too, but I prefer orange. Covered in dark chocolate. Mmmmm....

Ok, Lynn. Now I know what I'm doing this weekend.

Yummy! One of my coworkers makes this every year and brings some in to share with us. My mouth is watering just thinking about it.
