I did my second EMDR session targeting D-Day and the ensuing events today. First one was very brief because it was at the tail end of another target.

This one brought up the most emotions and physical sensations of any target that I've done, including some really nasty ones. I'm really taken aback. I was near tears a couple times and I got very vivid memories and very noticeable physical sensations (icy cold stuff, headache, nausea).

At least I know it's working. :)

thank you.

The emotions were really varied. There was despair, sadness, anger, frustration, defeat, desperation. The most powerful thing I remembered during the session was wondering WHY or HOW it had happened. I know now that I don't have to know why/how, I can just move on with my life. But XWW said many times that I had saved her life, that she wouldn't be around if I hadn't done the things I had done for her, and at the time I felt like she had done the same for me by giving me emotional support through some very tough times early on. The sense of betrayal was incredible. It took me a long time to believe it. It was like being in a dream.

Lurking on this board has helped me a lot to see that many people go through this in many different ways and it's just part of life..

This is how I feel about XSO, I don't know if my feelings are being stuffed or because I already went thru this with XH, I know the path to healing. This time around the block I'm going solo.

I hope your feeling a bit more in balance today.

Hugs,

K

Have you tried ginger tea for the stomach? It helps a lot. I like yogi brand's ginger lemon.

Sickness is mostly gone, but I still feel malaise/depression.

Part of me thinks some of it is coming from the EMDR. Glad I can space out the sessions more if I need it.

Meh. Or maybe it's just more nausea. :)
