I don't normally post here but I'm feeling chuffed and over-sharey. Actually that last part is constant.

Anyway today I picked up the very nice bike of a friend who's moving away for a year. I volunteered to keep it while she is gone and then give it back on her return. So now I have a bike again! It has been something like five years since I was riding regularly.

Today was one of the first nice days in a while so I biked it back to my place and will probably also use it when I go out tomorrow. I've been thinking about all the trips I am going to take on it in my fabulous new single life at my upcoming fabulous apartment in a new part of my city. There is so much to explore! It is great timing for me that this bike just fell in my lap and I am delighted and looking forward to our time together. What a great replacement for a no-good relationship!

Plus the friend is moving to Singapore and invited me to visit so I'm going to have to try and plan a trip later in the year.

Even though I have a lot of healing to do and some unresolved issues with the ex (blah) I am so happy about where I am in my life and everything I have to look forward to. I'm going to ride off into the sunset with a bottle of champagne stuck into my bike basket!

Sit. Feast on your life.

Norabird I am envious that your weather is such that you can go for a bike ride. I got a new snow shovel to go push around, Just not the same!

That's terrific! Biking is my main transportation between April and October, weather permitting.

The first couple of years on my own I explored the amazing network of trails around my town. Got lazy the last couple of summers, distracted by beach time, so must get busy again this year and do some marathon rides.

Make sure you wear your brain bucket, and if you're riding after dark, light up and be sure you're flashing.

WTG NoraBird!! Wooohoo!! Singapore sounds lovely. You'll have to share a pic or two when you go ... just sayin'

I am so looking forward to this summer, biking with my girls.
