Just curious what others think about this.

I know the difference between love and luuv, but am curious about dysfunctional love and where that fits in.

In this case dysfunctional love is the relationship between two people who although they are in love often have issues anyways; constantly argue, May be emotionally abusive, etc.

Is there a difference between dysfunctional love and luuv between two people who are having an A?

There is no real point of this post, but I was just thinking of a conversation I had with a friend recently and want to know if others have thought about it.

I have a lot of thoughts about love vs lurve etc but will list just a few...

Love brings out the best in the other person.

Love is kind.

Love is unselfish.

Love is not needing the person, but choosing and wanting them.

Love is respecting differences. And truly trying to understand the other person.

Love is shared experience.

Love is seeing someone at their worst, and still lovig them.

1 Corinthians 13:4-7 (NIV)

4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Alyssa-not sure if this is what you are talking about but...

WH and I were both raised in dysfunctional homes which made us very dysfunctional people. We loved each other but really had no idea how to show it. We also had no idea how to cope with issues in our lives. I tended to internalize and bury things while WH buried but also looked for outside validation and "escapes". I let things overwhelm me and he just didn't think about them.

I'm hoping if we can both learn new coping skills we can finally get to a place where true love can grow strong.
