I've been doing so well, but having a rough night. My WS has the kids for the weekend and I'm just so upset. I just don't understand why he had an affair. Ugh. Why couldn't he just told me was unhappy. Was this really worth it. I would have rather he 'dumped' me than be put through this hell.

So sorry, take the weekend to watch some TV or go out with some girlfriends.

I wish I could tell you it will be better soon. But, it does hurt less over time. The best thing you can do...is find a hobby or mark off some bucket list items till you heal.

So sorry. Just know there are 42,000 other people here who know exactly how you feel right now. I'm 17mo out from dday and I still get angry about this.

Thanks guys 😄 I just hate when the sadness hits. I prefer being angry, because the sadness brings me back to a time when I had a husband who was faithful.

So sorry you're having to go through this. It is still so new to me too and I am still obsessed with thinking about it (which is why I am on this site tonight). I think it's good to have access to those who have been through it and have found that not only does life go on... happiness can still be found.
I don't know about you, but for me I have found it helps to search for songs about infidelity, listen to them and gather a youtube playlist that plays the good ones. Sure, some of them are sad, but I have to laugh at some of them... some of the lyrics remind me that I am a resilient woman and the only time out of my life that is lost is that which I choose to lose.
