How do you restore deleted text messages? He has an iPhone and a windows phone, and I feel like I would find some unsavory things from recent if I knew how to recover deleted messages!!! He is very blunt and open about his phones but I feel like he is like that only because he knows everything gets erased before he gets home...

And how complicated would this be to do? I would need to do it quickly I think, because I'm sure it would start WW3 if he knew I was doing it.

I hope I'm not stepping on the IT forums toes here, sorry if I am!
I'm not sure about the windows phone but on the iPhone
It's a pretty easy thing, One thing you can do is back up the iPhone on iTunes then get backup analyzer software You do need a computer to do it though. also there are programs that scan both types of phones for deleted stuff that can take some time though and it has to be plugged in to the computer

The people who have nothing to hide, hide nothing.

He is very blunt and open about his phones

So take him up on it. His reaction to you telling him what you're doing will tell you what you need to know without even having to actually retrieve them.

Any right to *privacy* went out the window when he had his first A. He can close the door to the bathroom when he takes a dump. Other than that, he needs to be an open book.

WW3 may have already started. You're just making sure it wasn't a nuke.

I agree with 5454real. Take him up on the offer. Although I usually like to check when he doesn't know and then see if what he says goes with what you found. It is a good idea to know how to do it first, so that you are prepared to do right then and there. Take note of their body language and if they seem nervous about it if you decide to tell them that you are doing it.
