My kids spent quite a bit of quality time with their dad and his new squeeze. Bits and pieces have come up in random conversations. Today, on an errand to the pet store, DS remembered that he asked Donna if the boys could talk their dad into a new cat if Donna would take care of it until Dad could get a new place. DS laughed telling me. He said Donna's answer was

Sure. Your Dad really does need to figure out his living arrangements...

DS said her tone was firm and kinda harsh like they had talked about this a lot.

So Donna, yout new beau sleeps on the couch at the house of the OW he cheated with to end his marriage. What color is THAT flag?

This humor brought to you today by the color mauve and some imaginary number.. and Sesame Stretch. (my apologies to the innocent childhood tv show)

Well, that is expected when you are dealing with a lower muppet!

Rose Tyler: What's the emergency?

The Doctor: It's mauve.

Rose Tyler: Mauve?

The Doctor: Universally recognised colour for danger.

Rose Tyler: What happened to red?

The Doctor: That's just humans. By everyone else's standards, red's camp. Oh, the misunderstandings! All those red alerts, all that dancing.

Edited to correct stupid typos.

OMG, Gemini!! I love that, but I so did not do it consciously!

jackie,
It is a good goal! I can't say if it happens naturally or if Stretch is a special case of humor provider... Being independent, and his fuckedupedness not impacting me so directly REALLY helps me laugh at it. Putting his antics here for the collective wisdom and clever people to poke fun helps too! (I did not coin tater twat, but I will repeat it often!)

Poor, poor Donna.

Donna was at soccer this morning.

Donna does not bother me in the least. She is not an OW (at least not in my marriage.) She is NOTHING to me. A giggle. An amusement.

I guess she was there but no one saw her until we were leaving, after all the games were over. She spoke to DS13. And waited for Stretch.

This is the part that makes me . As I am leaving, with my parents and my boys in the car, Stretch and Donna are lip locked in the front seat of his truck! Omyfuckareyoukiddingme? Seriously? I wanted to laugh out loud, but didn't feel it was necessary to draw attention to it just in CASE I was the only one who noticed...

Um, yeah NO. 200 yards down the road and DS says "dad was KISSING his GIRLFRIEND..." with a smirk in his voice. I deadpanned "well, ... you gotta do what you gotta do."

Dear Donna,

You don't need to claim him, honey. I would set him on fire before I would have him back.

Sincerely,
Been there, done that, know better

I like this better than my crass: "I'd rather sew it up".

It reminds me of that Sex and the City episode where Miranda realises Steve has a GF. Miranda is a successful lawyer with her own home but can't get a date. He's unemployed, living on his XGFs couch - yet HE has a GF.

Global man shortage.
