Ladies and Gentlemen,

I am Moo and as your Guide I would like to welcome you into the Fun and Games forum. A most peculiar forum to find her amongst the pain and suffering, but one that helps you realize that laughter can provide healing too.

You can expect people sharing their pictures, games, jokes, teasing, dinner dishes, vacation experiences, get togethers (g2gs) and on Fridays to have Stupid Pictures. We celebrate birthdays here (if you want your b-day celebrated please use the thread stuck to the top of the General forum to sign up) as well as people that reach posting milestones, and occasionally there is a fundraiser to help fund SI here.

I know that there are lurkers that read here and are afraid to join in with the crazy people that often post here, but we can't allow you to not feel welcome so here is your open invitation to drop in here introduce yourself and become a full participating member of Fun and Games. Just get out your credit card numbers and a pen to sign an oath not to pick on me and you're all set. You can get all of this for just 3 easy payments of $19.95 a month. Just make your checks out to Moo's vacation fund. Ok just kidding.

So drop in here and tell us about a hobby or what you enjoy about Fun and Games. Meet some new folks and then venture out into the forum and participate.

Older members maybe you want to share a story of something you remember that happened in F&G that was funny or maybe tell about a g2g you attended.

Perfect introduction and invite, Moo. As always (there's no shame in "buttering" up to the guides and mods )

This is a fantastic forum. I can't begin to tell everyone how many times I've been laughing to the point of tears and my side hurting. Laughter is truly the best medicine.

I haven't been to a g2g yet, but it's on my list of things to do.

Jump right in everyone and have fun

Any funny F&G memories you want to share or a hobby you enjoy?

sign an oath not to pick on me
But...but...but that's the BEST part!!!!!

Welcome to F&G lurkers. Where we discuss pedicures on Moo, put faces to names with picture threads, and Unagie tries to scare the crap out of us with spiders. *cough*

Hobbies? Umm...this is always a tough one for me. Because I don't really feel "hard core passion" for any particular thing. I'm not really good at any one thing. I dabble in randomness. Maybe that's my hobby....

I write, sing, play the piano, (by ear and sheet music) I like Goodwilling and yard saling, repurposing old items for use in my home, marathoning Jane Austen movies. I sincerely love to laugh. (See what I did there?)

My husband and I have been to two "official" SI g2gs. First was in Chattanooga, second in St. Louis. Ive "unofficially" met SIers three times. Awesome folks. Currently plannning on another unofficial trip in May, and also hitting up the Chicago g2g. Always lots of fun. A little initial nervousness and anxiety in the beginning, but after it wears off, we have a blast. SIers are full of love, compassion, life, and joy. Meeting the ones we have so far has been an incredible experience and we have lifetime friends because of it.

There's so many I don't know if I can pick one. It's all a good time here.

My hobbies are cardmaking and scrapbooking. I want to get back into hiking and fishing for the kids. I would love to make something out of pallets I love writing and hope to be published one day.

I made a coffee table and end table. Still need to stain them. But they're functional. And I love them.

(Psst, the pallet garden was a joke. Possible operator error. I just wasn't impressed with the end result.)

More members should stop lurking and contribute to the song title game, the alphabet game and word unscrambling game, so that they don't keep dropping down the page! Some of us are reliant on these for our procrastination people, step up!

And bad Aubrie! Bad! That verb should be in the past tense. Discussed is correct. We no longer discuss such things as pedicures for moi.

Hi, I adore Stupid Picture Friday--the reason my co-worker thinks I am absolutely crazy for the way I laugh till I cry every Friday morning!

F & G is also the spot where you'll encounter some very funny people, TR (Truly Reconciled) for instance, and of course, MOO, who has likely attended more G2Gs than any other single member. Or married member!

There's an opportunity to brag about and post pics of your children/grandchildren, follow the antics of Grumpy Cat, and wish fellow members Happy Birthday.

Here is also where you'll find out about any G2G in your area.

Come and join us. We don't bite!

That sounds awesome! You should post pics!

I found a patio table I would love to make. It's a chevron pattern, but I need a bigger patio first.

I'm going to unlurk in f&g to brag on my hubby.

He's rocked the pallet furniture. Table, American flag, and a dinning buffet (which is my favorite piece in the whole house). He has a very large to make me list

First of all Lost those pallet pics are amazing!!!

I'm a sucker for Grumpy Cat.

My favorite F & G thread was maybe last summer when there was a get to know you Q&A.

My hobby right now is tri sports, but I have a novel lurking in my head that begs to be written. I'm thinking after my kids are out of the house in a few years, I'll unleash it.

did the bar threads get mentioned yet? I'm thinking we need some new bartenders. One of the previous ones has gotten really lazy and is slacking off here...

Bring back the From Above Game? Let me work on it. Struggling to find images that people could identify but not easily identify is a challenge.

Hi everybody!!!!

I'm HFSSC, Queen of the Unimaginative Screen Names. My husband, JM, is my King. Our last name starts with S and we live in, um, SC. To be fair to him, when JM joined, he was in MAJOR f*** up mode, trying to fix everything at once, and he figured it would make me happy if his name matched mine. or at least it would piss me off the least.

I love, love, Love the Glitterbomb, I mean Christmas card exchange.

And my favorite F&G moment.... a tie between 2 TMI threads. One of them was jrazz's "Omg, guess what the housekeeper found" thread. The other was actually a thread of mine that I forgot about till I went back through the quote thread the other day. It was all about lube. There was some funny stuff in that thread.

I also live for SPF, and my co-workers have taken to stopping by my desk for the best of SPF every Friday.

You should charge your co-workers a small pittance to donate back to SI.

I was just thinking we needed more bartenders too, inconnu, to fill in for the slackers ( ---> us)

And the reason I singled out Losfer and I for the binary convos has been proven in here. While Moo and NIK will participate, they're obviously not ready to commit to pages and pages of it when everyone else is screaming at them to stop. We're already back to the regular alphabet in here. 01000010 01101111 00101101 01110010 01101001 01101110 01100111 00100001 00100000

Jrazz,

You know that when you speak in binary that half of what you spew has a zero value.

TR, I didn't need a mirror nor did I need to stand on my head to read your last two posts... because I'm just that good....

Hello all, I'm Clarrissa. Been here for about 5.5 years now but haven't posted much lately. Not because I don't want to help but because over the last month or so I've been binging on the show Bones on Netflix.

My favorite F&G threads have got to be SPF and the quote thread. My H and I have been to (hosted) 2 g2gs and as someone else said, once the initial nervousness wears off (which lasts maybe 20 seconds) are a blast.

So all you lurkers out there, come join the fun, enjoy the craziness for a little while.

Hi y'all!!!!

I love SPF and the quote thread. And I loved the "what the housekeeper found under the bed" thread. And the glitter bomb thread.

I've played the song title game before, and maybe the alphabet game.

My favorite F&G threads.... SPF , the quote thread, any picture thread- even spyders( some are really interesting looking)!

Any way jump in, anytime.

What happened to the person below me true/false game? That one was easy to participate in!

I enjoy the alphabet game, but some of the categories are difficult. I check back frequently in hopes of a fun topic. I think it's getting tricky though because so many topics have already been covered. Maybe we should try a photo version of this game?

I like the unscramble for dummies game, but I find that too often hard/long words are scrambled so I stopped playing.

NIK's lawn party was fun. We should have another one.

The getting to know you surveys are fun to read.

Failure is success if we learn from it.
