DOH!  Posted: 7:24 AM, May 2nd (Friday)

First, I am not one to be happy for other's misfortunes. However, for all that POS has done to my kids and I, I cannot help but feel a little smile at some things that are "hitting" him lately.

About a month ago, we had planned to go out to eat after my daughter's volleyball game to celebrate her birthday. I get a call from POS (because as usual~he did NOT show up to watch her game), that he couldn't go. I didn't ask why. On the way home, I picked up my son from his friends house and he blurted out, "Did you see Dad's eye?". Yep, he got into a fight at his bar the night before, got punched in the eye and had to go to the ER for stitches.

Fast forward to yesterday. He has plans to go away this weekend (with a bunch of couple friends) to this camping/drinking yearly~weekend thing. He comes home yesterday, limping. Comes to find out, the cortisone shot in his knee has worn off! My daughter says that his knee is swollen, all the while I can hear him groaning. Of course, he is sending her to get ice for his knee and something to take the pain away. He leaves about 8pm and comes back around 2:30 am, and my assumptions were correct~he went to the ER last night. They gave him a leg brace and a couple of scripts for pain relief. I believe (and I am hoping) he still plans on going away this weekend (as his truck is still packed; and I would love to not have him around.

Right now, I feel he gets what he deserves. He stays away for days, and RARELY does anything with the kids. I am looking forward to the day, when I can boot him off of MY health coverage.

POS better watch it - that light isn't the end of the tunnel, it's the karma bus barreling down on him.

Sometimes karma is good.

I don't like to be happy at others misfortunes, but darn if it doesn't seem deserving sometimes.

Relationships are like glass. Sometimes it's
better to leave them broken than to hurt
yourself putting it back together.

Maybe he'll trip and fall into a batch of poison ivy or oak, or have a run in with Pepe Le Pew.
