So I am sitting by the phone, patiently waiting to hear if the STBX will be getting his job back. It's in front of the union board. I have been praying for it for weeks now. I know he doesn't even deserve my prayers, but is it selfish for me to want it to be a little less stressful for me.

I know I can do it on my own without his money...I just would like to get my alimony for the next few years of school and getting on my feet, or I will have to get 2 jobs and go to school. That would make this transition/divorce so much easier for me.

And next week we have our next court date.

I just want to get into Marty McFly's time machine, be divorced and have all this mess behind me and never have to look back!

Good thoughts to you that your alimony worries will soon be over!

Well, it's going to take 3-7 business days for decision. That is cutting it very close to our court date. I have to pay a few bills that he couldn't pay, I guess unemployment is deciding about his case as well. He found a roofing job, but the weather is not working with him. Can we say his Karma bus really hit him hard since I filed and I am the innocent bystander to the wreck!

I just want it over asap, hopefully they can use the past 3 years of income to decide a good amount and then I can feel some security...something that I haven't had in the 3 years of False R.

23 years is a very long time to walk away with nothing but a cut in his pension, if it is there when he retires (Union pension).
