My DS started this school year in middle school, 6th grade... He took Beginning Band and started playing clarinet (for the first time)... Tested later in the year on Alto Sax and he's now playing both instruments.
He just found out yesterday that he's being promoted to Symphonic Band... which is a the highest level at the middle school.
I'm so proud of him. He's also planning to try out for Jazz band as well...
This summer he's taking a two week band camp on Alto Sax to increase his skills on it.
I'm amazed at his skill... He's much better than his Mama ever was
