This site has been so incredibly helpful, hopefully I can find some advice/information on these two questions.

One is about doubleclick.net, I've found a link in WH's internet history on many occasions, but the link doesn't take you anywhere, all I've been able to figure out is that it has to do with advertising. Does anyone know if there's anything underhanded about it?

My next question is if anyone might now of a good keystroke logger for a MS Surface.

Thank you!

DoubleClick is Google's advertising platform. Google sells advertising on the web which is tailored to the individual client. If you've ever noticed the ads here on SI change based on what is being discussed on the forums, you have seen custom ads.

When a user clicks on an ad like that, they are very briefly redirected to a site between the host (SI in this example) and whatever the ad is advertising (let's say a bakery). Because of the way the ad is created, it doesn't link directly to the bakery, but instead links to the advertiser's site (doubleclick) and then immediately redirects to the bakery. This allows google, which owns DoubleClick, to keep track of what is being clicked on, which in turn generates revenue for the host site (si in this example).

So when you see that in his browser history it means he clicked an ad on another website. The redirect is immediate, so while it shows in the history, all he actually did was sit there and say "why is this bakery page taking so long to load?"
