OMGOMGOMG!!!!

I have lost 3 pounds.

It's been almost 2 weeks since I signed up on sparkpeople but I have only been "on the wagon" for a solid week. (I had a rough start that first week)

I still have so far to go, but this feels like the hugest victory ever.

12/18/15 found out my now EX boyfriend was trolling CL for underage girls. From the cops. The fun never stops.

See Kitty? Sometimes, reaching fitness goals is more exhilarating than dates are.

I love Indian food, too.

Congratulations !!!! Baby steps are still steps forward. Always remember that when you have a rough week. You moved forward rather than backwards...and that is a success in and of itself.

I bought a pair of Levi's on clearance for $3. I wore them last night and they fit but they are not tight at all and I can even pull some extra material out in the thighs. I saw two pair of adorable long capris that I love and I'm going to order them in the next smallest size which is where I am at my goal weight and according to those jeans I had on last night, almost there.

I'm 5'9 so a size 12 is lean for me. I have no desire to be rail thin, just lean and healthy so that is where I will land...hopefully very soon with spring coming. All of my clothes are in my smaller sizes except a handful of things so I'm excited to get back into them.

Success ladies...we're doing it !!!

Well I haven't lost any, but I haven't gained any either. I"m maintaining. Hopefully now that I'm going to start kicking up my exercise this week that will help.

Plus I haven't been eating the healthiest lately either so I am really glad that I haven't gained.

Ummm..

Did I happen to leave my motivation in this thread. Could you all take a quick look and see if it's in here?

Blah.

I am eating fine.. but exercised 1 time all week. That's it. One time.

What the hell is wrong with me?

I haven't gained but I don't have time to be wasting here.

Sigh.

Go softly my sweet friend. You will always be a part of who I am.

(((meta)))

Come on girl, you can do this!

Don't worry about whether you can make "goal," but worry about what you're gonna do this week to get fit and healthy. When is that dress fitting? Go to the store and try on clothes in the size you want.

THAT always motivates me!

I found a super awesome snack yesterday at Trader Joes. Freeze dried pineapple. Sooo tasty and only 110 calories per (generous) serving.

And the ingredients? Just pineapple. No additives or preservatives.

I am going back later this week to stock up.

thank you broken apart.

((meta)) I had been trying since Jan. 1 to get motivated, well not so much motivated as determined. Between work and raising my grandaughter I have hardly any time for me and just didn't feel like fighting to make healthy meals. After two months of strugling with the 5 pounds off I had posted here earlier I just came to the decision that this is what I want to do, I will do this, and I can do this....So, another 6 pounds in two weeks...going to the fitness center tonight to walk of some buns dragging the H kicking and screaming with me....He's no skinny minny either.

We can do this, if we can survive the A we can do this.

(secret goal, to turn some heads and make the H think for a change)

I'm officially down 30.5 lbs today. I crossed my goal. My new goal is 5 lbs.....I love reaching mini goals....it keeps the overall number from looking so overwhelming. I've just got 17.5 lbs left to hit my WW goal. I know the last ones are the hardest but I'm determined and my real goal is to get back into my clothes again. I'm excited because some of them are starting to fit and soon enough, I'll be in my favorites.

Yea, SW!

Met, when is the wedding, exactly? I mean, how long do you have? I have been thinking about you last night. If reaching a certain size by the big day is truly what you want, it may be time to break out the big guns. You may have to go more hard-core than WW, and the freedom and choices that gives. I'm not talking starvation-diet, either. Just a very structured eating and fitness routine specifically designed for event-based goals. Bodybuilders and figure competitors do it all the time for contests and photo shoots. They generally start 13 weeks out, but if you have less time you still can accomplish amazing transformations. I'd be delighted to help you set one up if you want. I'm rooting for you.

I'm rooting for everyone.

Hi Annben!

I have 14 weeks to go. Any and all suggestions would be appreciated.

I have been like this twice before during this weight loss thing. Both times precisely during PMS week. My motivation tanks, tired all the time and cranky. Anyone see a connection?

Realistically I would like to lose another 20 pounds or so. I was seeing huge results inches wise. Not as much pounds wise.. but still about 15 pounds.

Go softly my sweet friend. You will always be a part of who I am.

Met, when I listen to you, it sounds as if you really love your walks, but the elliptical is a chore. Chore=less fun=less likely to do. I would stick with your walks. Increase the intensity. Add hills. Don't stay in on windy days. Walk against the wind up hills as you start out and are fresh and full of strength, and coast home. I love my sunrise walks and runs!

Twenty pounds in 14 weeks is not a far-out goal. But if the scale is getting you down, toss it. Take measurements instead. Have you written out your goals?

Have someone take pics of you---front and back---every two weeks. Actually seeing your body change before your eyes is even more motivating than watching numbers go down on the scale.

Now for the not-so-fun part. I would make sure I was getting a gram of protein per pound of ideal body weight per day; broken up into 4-6 meals. The same with carbs, about a gram per pound of ideal body weight. The body utilizes certain carbs for fuel better than others. Brown rice, sweet and baked potatoes, oatmeal. Fruits, breads and pastas (yes, even whole-grain ones) should be a treat. Eating this way day in and out gets very boring. That's why I have a free day every week. And I look over my written goals every night.

You are going to be a knockout in your dress.

You might add some pilates to your mix up too...short doses of that with occasional elliptical or walking. It will work on some of the other muscles too while the others can be huge calorie burners. I'm going to try that for a while too. I need to work on my abs for sure...that's where the bulk of my weight goes and I've still got a little to lose there. I need to shake it up too so I'll go that route. Long and lean works for me....lol.

I have been doing really well and sticking to my points. But now I am starting to rebel. I think 2-3 weeks is my limit then I go nuts! Initially when I lost the weight it was so easy! Why is maintaing so much harder?

I am actually trying to lose 5 pounds and it is so hard!

I'm having a bad day emotionally today and I ate 1/3 bag of baked cheetos. Thank goodness I had only had three points today and I haven't eaten all my points for the day. That's why I keep lower point foods in the house, just in case I do an emotional binge. I'm done. I went and worked off some stress. I burned 425 calories too so that makes up for a lot of what I ate.

Picked up, dusted off and moving forward again....that's the best part of WW.
