Absolutely there is room for more !!! It's good to have you with us...the more the merrier.
I just did a hard workout. I burned 505 calories on the elliptical over 55 minutes. I'm wiped now. Taking in my water to rehydrate....weighing in tonight, not so much for the weight because I know what I've lost but for the accountability. That's what I like about WW.
I need to go shower up a bit so I can be seen in public again....lol.
DCK....calculating my 24 points (for my height and weight) a day I get equals approximately 1200 calories. Now with that in mind, I can add 3 more points if I do a certain amount of exercise. Plus...there is another approx 1750 calories (35 points) that you can either use to spread over the week or to splurge on a night out, however you choose to use it. So your calorie intake sounds about right.
That's my calculations anyway...if they are right. The other thing is that there are a ton of zero point foods that you can eat. There are some things that you can eat that cost you no points on the WW plan. That means more food if you take advantage of it.

Went to my 2nd meeting tonight and I've lost 3 lbs since last week, even with traveling over the weekend. I joined with 3 coworkers and it's been nice to have the support of others during the workweek. I'm sure the rest of our office is sick of all our talk about points!
The bad news is that my Girl Scout cookies came in this week. I think I'm going to give them away....

Hey guys. My Friday weigh in! I took two weeks off and worked at weight maintenance because I was ill with a cold, but I kept losing. WTH? Why can't it always be that easy?
So now I'm at 220. This is the least I've weighed since I fell pregnant with Hedgehog, in 2003. I feel really fantastic about that! My clothes are fitting tons better, and cowboy-style jeans that gave me a definite muffin-top at the end of January just barely do so now when I'm sitting, and don't at all when I'm standing. My waistline has suddenly re-appeared and I'm starting to get a shape again! I carry the majority of weight on my back and rear, so seeing my hip/waist ratio increase this significantly in such a short amount of time (since the New Year) may not mean too much in the overall scheme of things, but it's AWFULLY nice to put my hands on my hips and feel that swoop that draws upward into my waist. Se-he-he-hexy! Big Momma has been struttin' it all over the house, too. Big Daddy is lovin' it.
So I think my stats are:
Start 1/1/08: 239
Weight 3/14/08: 220
Goal: 156
I have to say that with my FIL here I have no workout routine at all.
I am currently losing the 2 lbs/week maximum WW wants me to lose, so hitting my goal is going to take a long while, especially since I'm not getting the exercise right now. I'm hoping to have my goal by my 38 birthday, in April 2009.
I'm off to fondle my hipbones again. This is seriously exciting stuff!

Way to go Thren!!!!!
I got on the scale this morning. I have lost 5 pounds.
I had my fitness class last night and then this morning decided to do bikes in the morning instead of after work (having a dinner party tonight, need to rush home to cook).
Note to self- don't try to exercise the morning after fitball class. Ow.

Wow, you guys are doing so great! Congratulations on all the losses! (Yay - these are the good kind.
)
I'm still holding at my 10% goal so I'm super happy about that because I think I've finally broken through that hurdle.
I got mad though - I tried on clothes that I bought 4 or 5 years ago, and they're still tight, even though they are a bigger size than what I'm wearing now! I realized that the clothes companies have made clothes bigger which pisses me off because you think you're "maintaining" because you're in the same size when in fact you aren't. Just a reminder for me to pay attention to the scale and the tape measure and not my closet for weight management.

Honey, you're scale has been getting a major workout with all the moving it's been doing. It needs a rest.
You're doing so well, stay focused and remember, it isn't always the scale.
The darn scale kept going up and down over 4 pounds for weeks. But this morning I'm down another pound so it's finally going in the right direction.

I'm back. We aren't going to talk about the last week and a half. What a mess
What's important is that I am here now. Going for my walk today. Drinking all my water today. Trying to quiet the blind panic that has hit me when I realized I am now officially three months away from my wedding.

I had a dinner party and overindulged a bit on wine and bread (it was the herb-infused butter I made. Yum)
Anyway I was so terrified that this morning I would step on the scale and see that all 5 pounds were back.
NOPE!
I worked out this morning just to be safe.

I'm having a terrible food craving today. Bleh.
I sooooo want to hit up the bakery in the grocery store by my house. They make these ridiculously rich chocolate cupcakes with raspeberry buttercream frosting. Good god, they are so amazing. I want one like crazy.

DCK that does sound good!
I am down 2.2 pounds! Yea! I have a few more to go but am happy with this progress. Of course I am going out of town next weekend so who knows how I will do. But as I only weigh in once a month i have time to recover if I slip up!

DCK, look for vitamuffin tops at your local store. They're in the freezer section. They're pricey, but really good for a lowcal sweet treat. My problem is that if the box is there I want to eat the whole thing. Not sure if they sell em individually.
Cravings are the worst! I try and replace with something else that is satisfying but different, like frozen strawberries or a half tablespoon of RF peanut butter and low sugar/ no sugar jam, on a light english muffin.

I survived today pretty good. I worked out and burned 425 calories this morning with a hard workout on the elliptical and the treadmill on it's 15% incline. Went bowling later so got some more exercise and then went out to eat. Looked up what I had when I got home and realized I was safe. I ordered a taco salad with grilled chicken, didn't eat the shell, ordered cheese and sour cream on the side so it turned out to be 9-10 points for the dinner, I think. I had 15 to use so I think I was safe plus I've still got my bank points. Pretty well behaved day, especially for a weekend.
I've got another workout scheduled for 10am when the clubhouse opens. I hope to get to use the elliptical for 45-55 minutes but I have to see if anyone has it behind me. If they do, I'll do the treadmill again like I did today. I just want to keep plugging forward even if the scale isn't being as generous as I had hoped this week. I'm fine because I know 30.5 lbs since Jan 5th is great. I'm just wishing to see it melt off of me....lol.
I'm glad to see everyone else is doing well. My son had McDonalds on the way to a dance last night and the smell of it in the car on the way was overwhelming. I was good though. I ate one french fry and laughed, teasing my son telling him my 400 calorie burn from yesterday was probably gone from that one french fry....lol.
Anyway....good weekend so far and hoping to be productive again tomorrow. I'm feeling bored on my cooking dinner so I need to explore some recipes for options on the WW website. I'll find something good.
I have a goal too. I got invited to a weekend getaway for a dear friend of mine and her husband's 40th birthday. They are paying for a giant lodge in Michigan and all food supplied to those attending. Since she's always been a size zero or so, it'll be nice to go up looking great. I don't see her much because she lives in Chicago but she is a dear friend of mine. I'm looking forward to fun and visiting again. I've got about six weeks to take off a little more weight to feel as confident as I can. I already feel hugely better but I've still got a ways to go.
Happy Saturday to you all....

Hi. I'm gonna join if you can squeeze one more in.
I did WW when I was pregnant with Lucky son, 19 years ago - gestational diabetes, and I never looked more fabulous.
Until the Infidelity diet.
The last two years I have gained my confidence back, and along with came some extra weight.
Sadly, it's all settled around my middle section, so I feel like I look like a bowling pin.
I have alot of questions that I can't find answers to, I'm hoping you can help.
Most of my favorite foods are zero points - so does that mean I can eat them all day long? My daily point allotment is 19.
I am 5'7 and 156. According to WW I don't need to lose weight, but like I said, it's all around the gut area.. very gross.
I am most comfortable at 130- 135, but please understand, I am small framed and small boned, I just LOOK better at that weight. And, of course, clothes fit better.
So for exercise I have taken up walking, due to the icy conditions of alot of our roads still my walks are only a mile / mile and half.. I'm thinking I should go twice a day, but god I'm lazy.
And for that pesky muffin section? I'm doing a HULA HOOP.
Talk about a cheap but effective workout... geesh.. it's embarrassing, I'm so bad..
My goal right now is to lose ten pounds by the second week of April.

I had gone to the convenience store in search of Hostess' 100-caorie snacks as a substitute but my convenience store did not have them. So I actaully broke down and went to the co-op to buy myself a cupcake. I figured it was not worth having a craving-induced meltdown. But they did not have my cupcakes! They had some other ones, but I wanted a specific thing and decided that since they didn't have what I wanted I was not going to have a calorie-fest with something I would not enjoy as much. So I went home and made a healthy lunch and had a few pieces of this really fancy chocolate I have.
If I am going to count my calories and generally eat LESS, I would prefer to enjoy everything I eat. And if I am going to be indulgent I want to indulge in something really GOOD.
And now I am glad it ended up this way because when I got home from the bar tonight I was super hungry and I had enough calories left to make pizza rolls.

Everybody is doing so good.
Hey lucky, the answer is yes to your zero point foods. Those are your fillers through the day or your side dishes to help you feel full and satisfied. The only rule of thumb is this...if sugar free jello is 10 calories, it's zero points. But if you eat five of them, it's one point. That's the main thing to think about. The mini bars that are one point are 80 calories but if you binge and eat two of them it's three points because it's 160 calories.
If you are already thin, Lucky and just choosing to shape up, the ten pound goal by mid April might be a little hard to achieve. Maybe not, it depends on your metabolism. Try setting a five pound goal for a mini goal and then set another five pound goal. It might be a little more achievable for the mind game portion of "dieting". Reaching mini goals helps us to keep moving forward to reach the ultimate goal.
Hang in there guys....it's been a decent weekend for most of us.
I've already worked out this morning and burned 450 calories. I'm wiped now and cooling down with some water. Lots of calories burned this weekend.

Hi Lucky, welcome!
I looked up the zero point stuff - for veggies, you can eat all you want. For other zero point things you should limit your zero points to no more than 5 per day.
DCK, very smart to not just grab something. You're right - why waste calories on something you don't really want?
Keep up the great work everyone!
I went out to breakfast. Looked up the menu online and picked what I wanted. I wanted a veggie omelet with eggbeaters and I asked for it to be cooked with little fat.
Well, my BF ordered a veggie omelet too (just regular) and we couldn't tell which was which! I just kind of picked out the veggies and left most of the egg. And the toast came pre-buttered so I skipped that too.
Next time I have to remember to be more specific, and make sure that BF and I don't order the same dish!
