1. My son, who had to withdraw from school mid-year last year due to depression, now wants to return at the beginning of next semester, and pick up where he left off. We were going to homeschool with a good online program. Now he'll just wrap up a couple of courses he didn't finish, and get stoked to go back. (Anxiety is huge, too, so this is a real biggie. REALLY big.) Incidentally, he's just started a three things journal @ my suggestion--I am sure his idea of good differs from mine-- but he was unable to perceive good a short time ago.

2. I made a gorgeous roast chicken with an herb compound butter. There are few things that can't be improved by whiffing fresh rosemary.

3. I managed to get a next-day appointment with my pain doc.

1. My running partner is back after a 3 week trip to Europe. I missed him and it was great to have him here again!

2. I no longer have to house sit for my running partner, which frees up about 45 minutes of time each day after work!

3. Trader Joe's makes the best vegetarian frozen dinners that are even somewhat healthy. When I was married, I cooked all of the time. Now that my social life is much more active, that's gone by the wayside, sadly. TJ keeps me from subsisting on frozen pizza!

2. Caught up with a friend I hadn't seen in a couple of weeks.

3. The weather is cool enough that I get to pull out a warm blanket tonight....finally!

1- My home, which while WH was around always looked unfinished even though we bought it 8 years ago. Although I haven't spent much, but it finally looks like someplace I like to come home to.

2- My two beautiful kiddies, who give me multitudes of hugs and kisses and beg for tickles every night.

3- My family, who have been patient and supportive throughout this mess. They take my kids on weekends to give me a break at times.

2. My off-brand Latisse is working...my lashes have grown!

3. The dooshy guys in another department, arguing about college sports, are almost outside. Yep..yep...ahhhh there they go. Silence.

1) Made it through the most sorrowful and rough weekend I have had since d-day (thanks SI family and my sweetest phmh)

2) Just prepared a salad with fresh cucumbers, grapes, strawberries and grilled chicken - so yummy.

3) Found the perfect shoes for my office's black-tie fundraiser that is the end of this week. AND the shoes were on sale!

Boy, I love this thread.

Gotta post on this thread because gotta focus on something that is positive!

1) Autumn is finally coming to the south and the cool mornings are glorious.

2) SI offers me profound comfort and peace and I do not know what I would do without this site.

3) How fortunate am I that every morning I can make a pot of delicious coffee and start my day off in a lovely and predictable way.

For these things I am truly thankful.

Woke up with ocean waves crashing over the beach which was beautiful.

Attended church with a group of new friends.

Had lunch at a great restaurant off the beach listening to some great music.

1. I made the most delicious fried chicken I've ever had. I started with a whole chicken and cut it in nice even pieces all by myself. The breast (which I usually refuse to eat) was so tenderoni, moist, juicy, and well flavored. I ate it with beans and rice and carrots. I had about 5 very large helpings (yikes).

2. My two year old little boy out of the blue came up to me with a tampon he found and said "restroom!" And i Iaughed about 10 minutes. I'm 6 months preggo and even when I was using them he never saw... so I just found it hilarious.

3. My sooooooooon to b x came over and we had what normally for us would have been a spat but I prayed during it to stay calm and though I cried I did not get mad or lash out (my norm). I was unbelievably proud of myself. I body feels lighter! I was just so happy with myself! Aaahhh!!!

1. STBXH headed out of town yesterday afternoon. All is peaceful and calm in the house again. (Now if I can only get him to extend the common courtesy of when he will again grace us with his presence )

2. While out walking today I passed a gentleman walking in the oposite direction. I smiled and said "Good morning.", he responded with "Good morning. Has anyone told you have a beautiful smile?"

3. I killed a huge spider in the garage this afternoon. One down...

1. Realized I can do it on my own! It's been just me and baby for 5 days. The house is neat! It's funny how itll stay that way when you don't have a grown man to pick up after. No energy wasted rolling my eyes and clothes thrown on the floor. And I'm happy here alone! Not even scared of the lonely dark. Just had to take the trash to the curb myself ... Not too bad.

2. My baby will always make this list. I love his love. He makes me so happy to be a mom.

3. Filed my nails so perfectly! Shaved my legs and my skin is so soft! Trying my best to look cute and put together though no one will notice one bit.

Loving this new single mom life!

I know reality will hit me hard pretty soon. Until then hooray!
