I'm tired. Soccer in the morning, taxi driver in the afternoon, baby wrangling in the evening.

I have no idea what kind of mindless entertainment I'm looking for. I'm lucky I can string words together in a coherent sentence.

Tomorrow is quiet just a little grocery shopping. I have outlasted the wee people living in my home and snuggling with the cat. I should sit outside with the hubs and finish my beer. It's nice out right now.

I've accomplished no chores so far today. I did go out for brunch with the family and watched an episode of private practice. I suppose now's the time to get something done...

Got the 2nd coat of stain on the deck. Did some shopping now watching BBT. And thinking about smoking some meat for Labor Day Weekend.

I'm reading all your Sundays and your productivity is inspiring me... And I have a cold! D'oh! Thinking we'll just try to make it to the garden today to prune herbs and water. Otherwise... is there a way to sleep and parent at the same time? No? I can daydream about sleep right?

Silverhopes...

Whenever I needed a nap and DS was little... well, I'd just put him in my bed and we'd have a slumber party!!!

They told me to "always nap when the baby naps" I slept a lot in the early days!

Got rid of the girls today so I got their room cleaned out. Laundry folded. Have the boys outside now that they have napped and snacked before I start dinner and clean bathrooms.

Ain't that the truth!

So we came back from the garden. Someone put a soil probe in my plot. I think I know who. This lady's been trying to pressure us to leave the community garden because she doesn't think we're around enough. Not my fault the garden ordered water-resistant soil amendment (we think it's municipal amendment, which means that there's probably a high amount of tree matter in there, and the oils from trees tend to coat the soil). Anyway, watered with the hose head pointing upward, so it came down in a rain-like sprinkle... It seemed to go in better. Pruned a lot. Let's see them scrutinize us now! Back tomorrow to do the same. LOL sorry for rambling. Gardening should be relaxing, NOT competitive!

Now, I walked into my kitchen to find ANTS in my garbage can! How the hell did they find their way in there?

Jrc - they were returned later on in the day. My parents dumped them on my doorstop and ran.
