This "A picture tells a thousand words" thread is poignant and happy and sad to view and read.

Our pictures now, in R, and as a family, are happy ones.

But I also know there was a lengthy time where any pixels which captured and replicated me, replicated a lying, cheating, broken and sad person. The outward appearance...like always...put together, cool, attractive. Yup, the world needs my surface to be just so. But the inner man...rather ugly.

It is lovely to see these images. They show strength, hope, character, and a big slice of the human condition...in the face of human fraility.

2 year EA/PA. DDay 3/12. Broke NC 6/13 w/one stupid 5 line e-mail (which brought me to SI). Me: WH, 51. Her: BW, 50. Married 20 years. Two kids. Dog. Reconciling...together.

It nagged him, in particular, that none of the girls he’d known so far had given him a sense of unalloyed triumph.

UO, Hello!!

Far out - I can't believe how young you are. I see it in your tagline but I must not have registered it properly.

I always imagined you as a brunette with a bob ... kinda like my maths teacher who also used to give me massive brain benders.

I may have reached a point where I'd piss on him if he was on fire.... eventually!!
