I just joined WW yesterday and decided to use the Points plan. They gave me 21 points.

I have to shop especially for this plan because nothing around my house is WW friendly.

With what I had in my house I was allowed A packet of oatmeal & a cup of tea for breakfast, PB & J for lunch, and a grilled chicken ceasar salad for dinner...and even that put me over my points.

I have to go shopping and get stuff that's lower in points. I really do feel like crying LOL.

Remember on the points plan, everything in your house is Weight watchers friendly, you just have to limit ammount of intake. Heck, I can have a reese's cup 2 pack if I'm doing really well on points for the day, it only costs 5 points.

Welcome Elecin!

Getting started can be rough, but you can do this. 21 pts is definitely doable, but it's a challenge and you have make every point count. I get by pretty well by eating tons of veggies and fruits - I vary them when I get sick of some. Berries are great for snacking and adding to breakfast. I buy frozen strawberries and they save me when I want a sweet snack.

A couple of low-pt foods that make it easier for me: Multi-gran lite english muffins & La Tortilla factory lowcarb/lowfat tortillas. They are my bread staples.

DCK, that dinner sounds delicious.

I was supposed to go out to dinner with friends to a new Peruvian restaurant but I had to cancel to shuttle kids all night!

Hope everyone is having a good day.

Elecin- salads are evil. People think they are getting something healthy but then you put on the dressing and you may as well have had a burger.

And if I remember the point thing from my WW days, 21 points is NOT a lot. Maybe work your way down to that. Start at 30 and shave off a couple points a week.

Broken- I've never had Peruvian food. If you get to that place you will have to tell me what it was like!

Well after all my complaining and the cheeseburger I had this week, I still lost almost 2lbs this week! I guess I should weigh in before I get all upset LOL.

I went shopping today (Retail Therapy) and got 2 pairs of jeans size 12 and 10. The 12s fit NO PROBLEM!! I havent been a 12 since right after my son was born. I HAVE to be a 10 by mid June. And I will! Thats my goal. 20 more lbs by then.

I agree with DC, salads really arent healthy when you add all the likings. But there is a brand (can't remember the name) in th produce aisle of most stores. A little pricy but fat free, low cal and sometimes sugar free. And its REALLY good!!

Just so lost... I hope this road I choose to travel will help Me get found.

Went to the movies last night and splurged a little--with popcorn. I cannot go to the movies without getting a popcorn, so I've actually avoided the movies for like 2 weeks now. But last night was a grand opening of a new theater in town and what do you know...the popcorn was only a $1. So, how could I not take advantage?

So, I went over my calories and fat yesterday, but once in a while you can't deny yourself. At least that's my thought.

When I say the foods in my house are not WW friendly, I mean that EVERYTHING in my house is high in points. If I had one meal that I would normally have, I wouldn't be able to eat for the rest of the day. My family has nothing but chips, ramen noodles, and cake in this house. GRRR.

When I had the ceasar salad I had dressing on the side and probably used about a teaspoon of it. I've always gotten it on the side and I just dip it lightly. Most of it was still left by the time I was done. I don't like a lot of dressing either way so I think I'm doing alright so far. But yeah, 21 points isn't a lot.

It's a HUGE adjustment seeing as how I have an oral fixation and must be eating something 24/7.

I am wondering how many are on the core plan? I am really likeing it because my cravings are pretty much gone.

I still get 35 points a week and it's plenty. Thats 5 a day. I just had 2 homemade steak tacos @ 1 point each for the corn tort, everything else was core.

I hope this really works because it seems way to easy! Has anyone lost weight with the core?

dis, I follow flex but I eat mostly core foods. If I sat down and figured it out I'd best that most weeks I could fit my diet into core with the 35 flex. But I like the flexibility now. I agre with you though - especially if you're insulin resistant, Core really helps you get rid of the cravings.

I got up early and went grocery shopping for the week. Bought plenty of fresh veggies and berries. Ground turkey breast and chicken. I also bought Martin's whole wheat rolls - 80 cals each, 4 grams of fiber - 1 pt.

The only reason I didnt like core was because it was realistic to me. I wouldnt ever be able to eat out without blowing my flex points and I can't deprive myself from anything or else I binge.

SW, you CAN do this!

Think of all the hard work you've done over the past few months.

I've had a bad weekend too. On friday I wanted pretzels but the store didn't have little bags. I've eaten an entire big bag of pretzels since Friday. I've been feeling lousy and actually eating little - other than the bag of pretzels!

But the good news is the bag's empty.

I'm off exercise for a bit, but I know that I'll get back on track with it soon.

Well I walked to a park near my house today and its downhill all the way down. But back its all up hill. I thought...piece of cake. WRONG. iT kicked my ass!

I then went out to Outback and had my favorite steak..fillet mingion. I didn't butter my bread and I only put a pat of butter on my baked potato. Proud of myself there.

I sneaked on the scale yesterday and it claims I lost 5 pounds this week. I got so excited, but I also weighed myself in the morning. I will know the true number tomorrow night.

Kodi- Sparkpeople is great, and won't cost you anything since it's a free site.

I started in the end of February and I've lost 15 pounds and 2.5 inches off my waist already.
