1. Realized I can do it on my own! It's been just me and baby for 5 days. The house is neat! It's funny how itll stay that way when you don't have a grown man to pick up after. No energy wasted rolling my eyes and clothes thrown on the floor. And I'm happy here alone! Not even scared of the lonely dark. Just had to take the trash to the curb myself ... Not too bad.

2. My baby will always make this list. I love his love. He makes me so happy to be a mom.

3. Filed my nails so perfectly! Shaved my legs and my skin is so soft! Trying my best to look cute and put together though no one will notice one bit.

Loving this new single mom life!

I know reality will hit me hard pretty soon. Until then hooray!

1. Had some outdoor time. Breathed some fresh air. Waved at passing cars. Felt 'alive'.

2. Taught my two year old some new words. He's learning well.

3. Realized ill be better off than WS mentally, emotionally, etc when I D him. That makes me happy.

We've got one of these threads going on in NB, too, but I think it may be even more important in D/S to remember all of the good things in life!

1. Made (and ate) dinner, and it involved goat cheese. YUM!

2. I biked to work today even though it was cold and windy and I just wanted to stay in bed. I do need to figure out an ear warming solution that works with my helmet, though...

I save $2.50 in parking fees each day I bike in, so I have to figure out what I should get with this found money!

3. I recently qualified for the Boston Marathon, and my friends and I are planning a group trip for April 2014 to run it. I think planning the trip may just be half of the fun!

I have been updating more on the NB three things thread, but somehow I think it may be more important to have it updated more regularly here. I will try to keep on it.

With it being Thanksgiving Eve, what more perfect time could there be to list three good things that happened/three things you're thankful for (or more, but at least three!)

1. My expense reimbursement at work finally got approved! I had to keep resubmitting receipts, but finally it is settled!

2. It was so beautiful out tonight that I ran a few miles longer than planned, helping me to reach my mileage goal for the year.

3. Although I already have more yarn than I know what to do with, I bought some beautiful yarn and I keep thinking of the scarves I will make. (I am not a talented knitter, but I have scarves in almost every color )

1. It's blustery and rainy AND I get to park my car in the garage! Wow, parking my car in the garage never gets old.

2. My job is awesome. Great people, interesting work, no drama, beautiful office.

3. My kids rock. Teachers love them too. Super smart and fun, and know how to behave. Of course they fight with each other and make me crazy, but they really are amazing.

Love this thread!

1) My three, wonderful, energetic little boys! My total reason for being.

2) My friends. Without them, I would never have found the real me again.

3) The turbulent times that I have been through. They have taught me so much about life, and they have showed me how strong I really am...I had forgotten.

Me...40 and fabulous
WXH...just plain stupid
DS's...9,7 and 6
DDays that are too numerous to mention...but no longer have relevance.

* I have my girls this weekend. They must be sick of the cuddles and smooches but I will never be. My hair must also look nice today - nodding and patting both sides of my head DD2 pronounces "I like you head mummy!" .

* we planted strawberries, sunflowers, some kind of pink/purple australian native that flowers all year (woowhoo). Best.time.ever. Dirt everywhere, smooshing mud between our fingers.

* I murdered lamb chops a little less than last time tonight. Learning to cook is coming along well!

I may have reached a point where I'd piss on him if he was on fire.... eventually!!
