I'm glad I decided to check out this site again today. I feeling pretty down still but trying very hard to save my marriage. Earlier today I caught a glimpse of my behind in the mirror and thought, "no wonder he cheated" I know that I can't blame myself but I do blame myself for gaining so much weight. Anyway, I too will make the commitment to try ww again. I'm excited, Thanks

Down 10.6 at WW last night over two weeks and down 13.5 total so far. I worked out last night and I didn't think I'd have time but I squeezed a workout in today and need to hurry and get ready for a dinner out and a soccer game.

I'm getting there.

I have a professional seminar tomorrow and I have no idea what in the world I'm going to wear. I've outgrown most of my clothes and I'll have to see if I've got anything that fits. I can wear jeans but I always look at it as networking so I try to dress casual professional.

Just 3.5 pounds to my next goal...yippeee !!!

Dyingheart - None of that here. I was a size 4 when my H had his affair. He actually told me I was too skinny at one point.

Hope you guys don't mind, but I'd like to join this thread. In March of last year I went on a protein shake diet and lost 44 lbs (thanks to excersise also). I struggled over the holidays and have put back on 8 lbs. Really struggling right now with cravings and have sort of been burnt out on the calorie counting. I still excersise but the cold weather has really put a damper on my cardio.

I came here tonight to read all the messages on this thread for inspiration. And it worked!! Have been thinking about joining WW, but might do the online instead of meetings, because of time issues. Going to definately add this thread to my daily online requirements.

Congrats everyone and thanks for the much needed inspiration

I'm not going to let this define me anymore. He's gone and I couldn't be happier.

You couldn't have told me in July and December of 2006, but there really is a life after this mess.

Breathe, just breathe.

brohl5, the more the merrier.

I know, I need all the support I can get! I'm still debating about online or meetings and as a result I've done neither!

I'm following the program from a few years ago when I went to WW meetings (but quit after 2 weeks,) but I'm at the point where I need some help to stay focused. The meetings create a time problem and it's expensive. I can do online for 55 bucks for 3 months. I dunno.

Broken -

I'm just doing the on line because like you, time is an issue. I like the meetings but really, I get just as much from the on line communities on their website - and now of course, from here!!!

I posted this in Fun and Games too...I'm so happy !!!!

I have been working out hard for almost three weeks and I'm down 13.5 pounds as of yesterday. I have been doing 2.0 miles on the treadmill and a little over 5 miles on the stationary bike burning typically 250 calories a workout. I made it to 300 calories one night.

Anyway...there is an elliptical machine there and I have been unable to do it. I've tried 2 or 3 times and I couldn't get past 3 minutes and I'd have to crawl to do six minutes on that thing. I wouldn't do it when anyone else was there because I was so whimpy on it. I just killed the front of my thighs.

Today...VICTORY !!!! I did 25 minutes on the elliptical and walked 1.5 miles and burned 410 calories with only half the time of my normal workout.

I did it...I did it...I did it !!! If I can keep it going, I can burn more calories in half the time. That would get me more caught up at home on laundry and stuff...lol.

Yippee !!!! I'm so proud of me. Determined and it paid off !!!

Wow sw, good for you!!!

I'm so impressed with how you've worked so hard at exercising.

Where do you go - a pay gym or the local Y?

I live in a subdivision that has a workout room with two treadmills, two bikes, one elliptical and then a separate weight room. I've been going there. Last night was the first time I've missed in nine days. I was at a seminar all day and was just too fried. I've done about two weeks worth of workouts in the three weeks I've been trying to lose weight. The first week was just a warm up but after that I got serious and went back to weight watchers and started working out.

I really want this weight off. I like being fit and looking nice and I want to get "me" back. I'm working on it !!!

Well, hope I can join all you skinny people here....Everyone seems to be doing so well.....

I did WW for so many yrs I could write a book...I lost 53 lbs.was the most and put that back on and more after the divorce...I have to be careful what exercise I do because of having both knees replaced....I have been on my exercise bike the last few days and I finally decided to read and post on this thread..

All of you are an inspiration to me to get going with my diet..I weigh more now than I ever have in my life...The lost of my mother, my best friend last yr has taken a toll on me and I was finding comfort in food like I did after my divorce...

I am disabled now and cannot go back to work and work out my frustations..I was considering surgery to lose the weigh, but my insurance won't let me...I don't have that kind of money so I guess I will be doing WW again and this will have to work....No ifs ands or butttts about it this time...It has to be for me to live a long and healthy life......

Hello - coming to join you on this thread.

I lost 14lb on the infidelity diet then put on 20 through the stress of moving house and going on ADs.

I weigh more now than I ever have (apart from pregnanacy) and it's awful.

I did WW before and lost 21lb, so am going to do it again, but like loads of us, can't afford the meetings so just going to come here for support

Can't walk for exercixe like I used to, cos of a problem with my feet, but I have a stationary bike so am going to try to use that every day and maybe find the money and time to go swimming once a week.

I need to be able to get back into some of my clothes - I've got the choice of one skirt and two pairs of jeans at the moment

See you all tomorrow!

Have struggled this weekend because I did alot of cooking for the family. But I'm back at it 1st thing in the morning, already measuring out my snacks and lunch for tomorrow. I can do this!

I just saw that WW has free registration through March 8 - also their monthly pass is $39.95 a month which includes unlimited meetings and use of their e-tools (which I think is essential!)

Wishing everyone a good week on WW!!!!

Just a friendly reminder, if the doctor tells you to go to WW and lose weight you can use the 39.95 a mon. deductions on your taxes where you use your meds and doctor bills......

I have used mine this yr from last yr and every little bit helps...I guess I need to get back on my bike and keep up the trend.....

Good luck this wk to everyone.....

Well it's Monday! Nice to see some new faces. My exercise regime was put on hold due to extreme cold (I had been walking) but it is really mild out today so i will be back at it.

I reaaalllllllly need to find something to do indoors as well.

So no loss for last week. But no gain either.

Back on the horse today

I've done WW successfully too but after the third time it stopped working. (this means nothing to any of you -- each of us is different)

I now do calorie counting. I bought Corinne Netzer's calorie guide -- very good paperback that contains about 99% of the foods I've tried to look up. The trick is to set a reasonable daily ceiling (mine is 1400).

Unfortunately after 10 days of sticking strictly to the 1400 I had not lost so much as an ounce, so I stopped, but I'm trying to just eat carefully, small portions, healthy stuff and no or very limited snacking.

It works until I stare down a Kozy Shack rice pudding cup.

Those are my downfall.
