I've hit the wall.

Went for my dr's visit this morning and ended up having to get blood tests done because they think my insulin problem is getting worse.

I'm up 2 lbs.

I fell off the wagon yesterday....can you say....step away from the crab dip, lady? lol

I couldn't do it. So....I am back on track today and I am doing an extra workout today to burn some of the calories I ate yesterday. I truly am probably okay because I had a lot of points left in the day and I had bank points but I could NOT walk away from that crab dip....OMG it was good....lol.

I burned 400 calories this afternoon. I'm going back tonight to do another 30 minutes on the elliptical as my normal daily workout. The one earlier was for what I ate....lol. I'm just going to do 30 minutes tonight and then stay on track from here.

I sure wish it came off as fast as it came on. I know I only lost 1-2 pounds weekly without exercise in the past and I've lost 17 so far in four weeks so I really can't complain. I just want it to come off,

I even took the stairs today at work which was tough because I'm on the 7th floor at the hospital. I did it nonetheless...panting when I got to the top but I did it. I'm going to try to do that every day that I work as an added workout for me.

Anyway...no more crab dip. She was going to send the leftovers home with my family and I was like no way....I couldn't walk away. I'd eat the whole plate of it if it was in my fridge....lol.

Walk away from the crab dip, lady.....lol.

NA, that stinks that your weight is up, but try not to let it get you down. A 2 lb fluctuation is so normal. I know how frustrating it is - trying to get that 2 pounds off is HUGE!

What's up with your insulin? Insulin resistance or diabetes? Either way, it's so hard to not crave sugar. (I've got PCOS so I'm insulin resistant.) What helps me is if I don't think about weight. I try and focus on just eating healthier and getting healthier.

So, I've been reading your posts and just wanted to say everyone is doing great.

I've started tracking my nutrition intake on SparkPeople and I've noticed that my protein intake is really low.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to increase my protein without increasing my fat and calorie intake too much?

Try legumes (beans, lentils, etc). They have a lot of fiber, which in WW-world means less points.

Good news for me: I started 4 weeks ago and went from 153.25 to 148. Finally broke the 150 barrier!

On one hand that means less points to eat, but on the other that also means that I am in the lowest category too.

Yay!

Protein is hard for me too. Boneless, skinless chicken breasts are great. I cook a few and then have them for lunch during the week in salads, sandwiches and sometimes plain reheated w/ veggies.

I like shrimp too. packed with protein and low cal.

I've been eating Kashi cereal in the morning with milk and fruit to boost my morning protein.

Peaking in to say I need some extreme motivation. I can't seem to make myself walk. I'd rather do something outside than in the gym. I just get home from school and practice and I am beat.

Now high school season is almost over so I should have 3 or 4 days a week that I can walk. I am eating much much healthier now and I've noticed that has helped my energy level.

I have lost 15 pounds since Christmas. So I know I can lose more if I can exercise and get off my meds

Hi Can't. 15 pounds since Christmas if fantastic! Keep it up.

I have a hard time exercising this time of year. I like to get out and walk but it's too cold! But I KNOW I have to get out there and do something. The folks here are really kicking my arse about getting out and moving. I've been talking with a few coworkers about walking at lunch. Even if it's lousy weather, we can walk the halls and do stairs.

Well, here is my bit...something to look forward to if you stick with it. I have stated before, I'm a WW life member and have been below goal for a couple of years now. I have a dr's appointment this afternoon. Oh, how I used to dread going to the dr. because I had to be weighed. So much so that sometimes I'd put off needed appointments when the real problem was getting weighed, not wanting to face what I already knew deep down...that I'd gained a lot since the last time I had weighed myself.

I just feel so good now, knowing that my weight is where it should be, and I weigh myself at least once a week and know that there will not be any horrible surprise when I get weighed at the Dr.

So think of this folks, you have a lot to look forward to if you stick with it. And remember, you have to change those habits forever; it is best not to consider it a "diet" but a plan for healthy eating that will lead you into a healthy weight that can be maintained for the rest of your life.

Thanks. It feels like I am finally getting a handle on this thing.

D'ja ever notice how big cravings get when you're doing well, tho? What's up with that? I think my Chocolat-ometer has gone off 3 times already today!

No thanks to stress, I've managed to, still, lose 4.6 lbs. in the past 4 weeks!!! My hubby has been in the hospital; and, is in out-patient rehab, now!!! I was just wishing that I wouldn't GAIN any weight, during this time of "dumb eating patterns"! I spent the afternoons up at the hospital, and didn't walk as much as I should have!! Plus, I ate too much when I got home every night!!

I went to a weigh-in, today, and was pleased that I'd lost a little bit! I'm starting back up with my meetings next week!!! I've had to change days of meetings for my hubby's sake (Tues. to Thurs.); however, it'll work out because I'm taking an extra hour, this time, for myself!!

You ladies are remarkable!!! God bless y'all in your efforts! NA, don't despair, I've had to readjust my Thyroid (Levothyroxine)levels 3x, so far (and it continues to change a tiny bit every six weeks). I think that I might have the correct dosage, now! I know how meds can change your weight loss; but, you'll get there...I know you will!!!

I'm down 17 pounds and very little difference in my clothes either. I remember that happening last time too. Admittedly, my pants feel better and my scrubs are a little looser but I haven't gone down a size yet. Probably another ten to fifteen pounds for that.

My butt has changed most with the workouts. It's tighter and lifted. My abs are still where I put a lot of my weight on so I've got a lot to go there. I'm getting there though. I'm definitely smaller but have much to lose.

It didn't come on overnight...it isn't coming off overnight.

I'm getting there though.

I'm proud of all of you for making the commitment to yourselves. It will pay off in the end.
