I'm about ready to put my head through a wall ~ the scale is just not moving!!!! It's not going up (thankfully) but it's not going down either ~ doesn't seem to matter that I'm busting my butt at the gym a minimum of 5 nights a week.

Maybe it's true that I'm not eating enough ~ breakfast this morning was about 300 calories (yogurt and a granola bar) ~ lunch was 1/2 of a grilled chicken wrap with lettuce, tomato, avocado and ranch dressing (based on my calculations, the entire wrap would have been 500 calories, with factoring high for the avocado, flour tortilla & ranch dressing...I ate half but I think the avocado was sliced thick so I'm figuring about 300 calories for what I ate) with one serving of sun chips (150 calories for the chips) ~ dinner tonight is homemade chicken caesar salad....basically cubes of grilled chicken over a romaine mix with a little caesar dressing. The plan for the gym tonight is 30 minutes on the elliptical and my usual round on the weight machines. Once again I'm going to be somewhere around the 1100 calorie mark, not counting what I burn off at the gym. I went back to spark people and adjusted my workout information ~ it increased my caloric target to between 1300-1600 per day.

I can't tell you how frustrating it is to be eating healthy (for the most part anyway), exercising and have the scales not move. I guess I need to find ways to boost my calorie content each day.

I really am frustrated ~ I swear this weight is never going to come off. Who knew 15 pounds could be this hard to lose?

Don't give me songs ~ give me something to sing about.

oh n_c I know exactly how you feel.

I don't think 1100 calories is enough. If you don't eat enough, your body stores everything, because you are working so hard. It doesn't make sense I know, but that's what the experts say

Also, are you drinking enough water and getting enough sleep? Sometimes not getting enough sleep will cause you to not lose.

Don't give up. You can do it. Just gotta get passed this hurdle.

I'm not going to let this define me anymore. He's gone and I couldn't be happier.

You couldn't have told me in July and December of 2006, but there really is a life after this mess.

Breathe, just breathe.

I went to WW tonight. I didn't need to weigh in because I know how I'm doing and I do it so I'm accountable. I like going for the support and it's some me time.

I'm down 36 lbs and according to the WW scale, I'm ten pounds from goal. According to my scale, I'm 12 lbs to goal. The ten is better though because then it means I'm free....lol. Actually nine lbs and I'm free for the meetings again because I think as long as you are within two pounds of goal, you are free. We'll see but I will continue to go because I need the accountability.

I hope you all are doing well....I finally get to eat today. I had some dental work done today and the anesthesia is finally wearing off. I had to get double because I was feeling it still. Now my mouth hurts a little but the tooth feels fine, I think it's just the injection site.

Eat my low point pizza and then do some pilates.....

The scale finally fucking MOVED!!!!!!

It's been around 2 weeks with no change. I'm only down another pound, but that pound feels like such a victory after watching the scale not move.

I'm at 239 today, that's 11 pounds lost. My clothes are officially falling off me, so I picked up a pair of cords on clearance at Walmart. I put them on this morning with a nice fitted top and looked int he mirror. DAMN! I know I have not lost that much yet but once I got some pants that fit me, I look like I've lost sooo much more than that.

DCK and Wyoming, that's great!

It's really frustrating when the scale won't budge (or when it moves the wrong way like it did for me today.)

Keep it up - we are doing great.

A friend reminded me today that since I have been working out so much I'm probably gaining muscle. I think she's right. I bought size 20 pants today. Two months ago my size 22s were feeling snug.

Wow...big surprise on the scale this morning. I am down 37.5 lbs now. I had a big dinner and two glasses of wine last night. I had only eaten five points during the day so I had a lot stored (I didn't starve myself, I had a lot of low to zero foods). I had bank plus 18 points left. It was the best steak I've had in ages, a yummy sweet potato and a salad with FF raspberry vinagrette dressing. I had two glasses of wine too.

I've had a cold this week so haven't worked out much. I wasn't expecting much of a loss this week but I caught a break.

8.5 lbs and I should be free for the meetings again and another 10.5 to reach my WW goal.

I bought some sexy, sexy jeans at Walmart yesterday. They were on the clearance rack and I tried them on. They were $9. They were actually a Rider brand with tummy control, long and boot cut. They made me look sexy curvy. I love them. I wore them out last night and one of my friends hasn't seen me in a while. She was so kind and flattering. I felt sexy for the first time in a long time. Yippeeee.....

I took my measurements today. Even though I am only down 11 pounds, I've already lost TWO INCHES off my waist and two off my hips. OMG!

I finally "get" the whole working out thing. And I love it!

Today I picked up trash downtown. All we brought with us were trash bags and gloves- no fancy equipment. Amazingly I'm not all worn out and sore from the walking or the bending over to pick things up. Two months ago that would have done me in, I'd be on the couch right now in a vicodin haze trying to will my back pain away. But since I've been working out my back and hip pain (from a back injury and chronic bursitis) are really under control. And I don't creak and crack when I get out of bed in the morning.

This is really even more gratifying than wearing a smaller size.

You guys are doing great!

I've been having a hard time getting back on track after my eating binge last week. Yesterday I went to a little league picnic and ate a real hotdog & bun. Would have been fine if I didn't go out to dinner with DD. I was doing pretty well - ate healthy stuff off the salad bar.... and then 3 chicken fingers from the appetizer sampler that DD ordered. I figure I was about 8 pts over.

But today is a new day. I'm hoping to get outside and work in the yard (spring cleanup.) and so I'll burn off some of it then.

Hope everyone has a great day.

Since I know everyone has spring fever....I thought I'd share a recipe that my neighbor took on Easter. It was a WW recipe and no one there knew that but her H. EVERYONE was asking who made that delicious potato salad. I'm going to grill some chicken today so I thought I'd make it too. We all love potato salad in the summer but it can be a point buster so I thought I'd share this lighter version with you all.

Enjoy....

1.5 lbs of Baby Red Potatoes

3 slices of turkey bacon

1/4 cup Light Mayo

2 tbsp red wine vinegar

parsley

1/2 tsp salt

1/4 tsp pepper

1/2 cup scallions

Boil the potatoes and let them cool. Mix mayo, red wine vinegar, salt and pepper together. Mix that in to the potatoes and then the rest of the ingredients.

Enjoy.....of someone can calculate the points that uses the online WW, that would be helpful. It's delicious though !!!

Well, I"ve lost 3 pounds this week. Only 4 more to go until I reach my next goal. I'm hoping in the next two weeks I can lose that.

I've started eating 2-3 vegan meals a week and the other meals are chicken or leftovers. My lunches are leftovers from the night before. Breakfast has been a banana and yogurt.

I'm feeling much better too.

That potato salad was good. My mom couldn't believe it was diet. I also made a chicken that I pounded until thin, spread some parmesan and garlic cream cheese lightly on the chicken and sprinkled a little italian seasoning, rolled the chicken up and put a lean piece of ham around it, baked it for half an hour. It was delicious and very tender. Good dinner and not horrible on points.

I need to get out and walk tonight. I've been low on working out this week because of an upper respiratory infection. I'm going to try to go for a walk tonight or else I'll start working out again tomorrow.

Hope you guys are having a good weekend.

Congratulations, cant....you're doing great.

Thanks for the calculation too. It helped me behave on seconds....lol.

Just a warning ladies, if you are losing weight your tolerance to alcohol is going to change.

I didn't even drink that much last night and I am SICK as a dog today.

Just thought I'd shared this healthy recipe that is absolutly to DIE for and really easy.

BAked Chicken

Take a whole chicken and rinse and clean it. Tale a whole fresh lemon and poke a few holes in it with a knife (this part can be very thereputic depending on how good of an imagination you have) Stuff the lemon into the chicken cavity. Also stuff inside of the chicken 3-5 cloves of garlic. Sprinkle the outside of the chicken with salt, pepper, and Herbes de Provence. You can get this in the spice section of the grocery store and it's the best season blend you will ever buy. Bake for about 45 in the oven set at 350. That's it!! You can roast whatever veggies that you like on a different pan in the oven at the same time, and use the same seasonings, just add a little bit of olive oil. I usually roast diced red bellpepper, onion, carrots, small red potatoes, fennel, and leeks. Everyone that I make this for RAVES about it, and it's really very healthy

thanks broken for leading me here. I haven't signed up for WW online yet as I'm still getting myself mentally prepared to do this. I have stopped eating after 7pm and have tried a littleto cut down on my portions.

I haven't tried to lose weight in a long time, so now that's i'm 35 i'm wondering if this is going to be super hard?

One of the things that I believe sets Weight Watchers apart from other diet programs is that they help you deal in the "real world" and also help you deal with the non-hunger reasons (stress, comfort, etc.) that you eat.

The problem with systems like Nutrisystem is that you don't prepare or get confronted with "real" food. At Weight Watchers, you have choices, and they also help you make good choices with things like going out to eat.

They are, hands down, the most realistic and solid diet program going.
