Oh wow! congrats! How far along are you?

Today is weigh in day for me and I can't believe that I've lost 16lbs. I really can't. Never thought I could. I've started this journey in the beginning of April. Only 4lbs to losing 20 and that's a big mile stone for me.

Thanks for all the inspiration everyone and keep up the good work!!!

Click -

I am really proud of you - I think you will make it!!!

In spite of a week and weekend of so many dinners, parties and picnics, I lost 1 pound this week to hit my half way point of 20 pounds!!!! I had to go buy some pants 1 size smaller yesterday because my old pants were literally falling off of me. So now that I know I can lose 20 pounds, I'll just do it again and lose another 20 pounds

Not overjoyed. I didn't test until last week because

1. I hardly ever get my period becasue of all the exercise and my bodyfat being kind of low.

2. (Here's the biggie) I AM ON THE FUCKING IUD. WHY WOULD I SUSPECT PREGNANCY?

They did an ultrasound on Sat. and I am nearly out of the first tri; 11 weeks. So termination at this point is creepy.

I was pming to Broken about this. I hate to sound so superficial, but I worked so hard at losing all of my pregnancy fat from Esme', this is just anxiety-provoking for me. Not to mention all the shit I'm going to be catching from my mother about how I should have had the tubal after Esme' was born. she was a C-section, and they offered me one while I was already open. I declined. Because (and yes, this is very stupid) I didn't want to permanantly sterilize myself, then have my husband to "change his mind" yet again, leave, then start another family with some 22 yo stripper. Again.

eta: sorry to jack a ww thread to include my problems that I brought on myself.

back to fitness and weight-loss!

Oh, I posted pics of my daughter in F&G. That's my toned arm in the first one, and my shoulders and traps in the second one.

Since I gained 60-plus pounds with each pregnancy, I guess I can kiss those good-bye, too.

(((annben)))

You know that you can do it and get in shape after pregnancy. You've done it before and you'll be able to do it again.

CB and click, great work!

Well, despite lots of exercise this weekend I'm up a pound. Not a surprise - I ate like a pig!

But I knew that and I planned for it so I'm okay with it. Back on plan today and ready to work hard at getting to goal.

Thanks for the support everyone. I really do appreciate it, and it really really really means a lot at this time.

You know that you can do it and get in shape after pregnancy. You've done it before and you'll be able to do it again.

Maybe. But I'll be 41 <gasp!> by the time this baby is born. And I know it was a FUCK of a lot harder losing the baby weight at 39 than it was at 27. It's hard enough to stick to a sensible eating plan and to work out when you're tired. When you're old, it just plain sucks.

How long have you been using the IUD? What did the doc say when you had it put in as far as accuracy rates?

Well, the way to look at it is a blessing in disguise right?

I did it!!! I finally did it...I found the umph I needed to get off my rear and start working out again. I worked on the elliptical for 25 minutes because I got bumped and then I walked for over a mile. I'm back on track. I let myself put on six pounds but I'm back on.

I've got my son working out with me because he's going to Philmont in three weeks and he needs to be as fit as possible. It got me moving again.

I'm just glad I found that umph. I thought I'd lost it. I'm back in this with you all. Now I have 15 lbs to lose and I'm going to finish this AND maintain it !!!

P.S. Annbenn...when you get over the shock, you will realize what a blessing this is. I'm happy for you. I would be mortified too but in the end, it's a sweet baby and a piece of you. It can't be all bad.

HAve not checked in this thread in a while. Still working out 4-5 days a week but not dieting at all. I'm down 20 pounds total now.

I think I am going to start dieting again, though. I want the weight to come off faster than .5-1 pound a week.

Thanks. But at this point I am not happy.

Keep up the good work, everyone! Pregnant or no, I still intend to wear a bkini the enire summer. Fuck 'em if my swollen belly offends anyone. It won't have an ounce of fat on it. It will just protrude.

Well, I thought I was doing well and then I saw pics of myself from this past weekend. YUCK! I really need to do more with the firming and toning. So that's my goal for the summer - to get myself in better shape!

DCK, that's great that you've been keeping up the exercise.
