It has been since Jan 28 2010 since I had my first of several DDays. I have lost over 40 pounds. I needed to lose a few but have gone from a size 14 to a size 8. And still losing. I am beginning to get worried about this. How do you stop this weight loss?

It's quite normal to lose weight due to all this stress you are under. I lost thirty pounds over the first couple of months after D-day 1 and got down to 135 lbs. A few months later I gained it all back. It will most likely level out for you also.
I can't tell you what to do, but I can tell you what not to do.

I lost 40 pounds after D-Day 1 and six inches or so off my waist, although I had been letting myself go for years and could have stood to have lost most of that weight.
For me, it has plateau-ed because I really can't lose that much more at my age. (My friends all say that I'm too skinny now.) And, to be honest, what really did it for me was that we decided to D and I could start to heal - albeit on my own.
IC was very helpful for me too.

I lost a lot of weight and I was already lean. I would try not to stress about it because eventually you will stop losing weight. Just try to eat healthy foods (I ate a lot of soups) and exercise if you can to help with stress and build muscle. There are studies that show that people who are on long term low calorie diets live longer and have fewer diseases so don't worry about it hurting your health overall.

I lost a lot of weight too, but it did eventually level out.
Have you seen your GP? My weight-loss was so rapid and I had so much trouble holding down food that I ended up slightly anemic. It might be helpful to have a phsyical.
ADs helped me too. They slow the weight loss and some of them increase your appetite.

Thanks to all. Yes, I am eating and trying to eat healthy. My WH has been good about this and making sure that I do eat and when I do, to eat good things. I drink a lot of water and try to keep hydrated from all of the tears that spill out. Good to know that this will level out after time. I am too skinny right now, my face is sunken in and my freinds are beginning to ask if I am OK? I have told some that I am having health issues to back off from asking or me having to tell the true reason why I have lost so much.

I have lost 60lbs in about 15 months, most of which were dropped in the first 6 months. I needed to lose weight and still have about 20 to go, but I have leveled off. I echo whydidyou's sentiment in that soo many people have asked how I lost it. i usually just say, "I just cut back on my portions". Yeah, right. There were weeks when I hardly ate at all -- so unhealthy. No one likes the Infidelity Diet...

What I've done is track my intake at fitday.com. I do whatever I can to make sure I get enough protein--if nothing else, I get enough protein, drink enough fluid, take a good multivitamin, and supplement the omega fatty acids (really good for depression).
Usually, with those basics covered, I feel okay about my loss. It's not like I wasn't trying to lose weight before d-day.
It's a sucky way to lose--but I assume it will taper off when the turmoil eases.

Ugh, I can't stand being this skinny. (I told my friends that, yes, in fact I did realize that I looked like Lady Skeletor.) And I can't stand the questions. I just tell people that I've been stressed, and when I'm stressed I forget to eat. Then they usually make some banal comment about how they should be so stressed, and I hohoho and walk away. I try to remember to eat all my meals (I forgot today, but will eat a late lunch) and keep trail mix in my desk drawer so that the minute my appetite perks up I can take advantage. (Otherwise I literally forget that I am hungry until the next mealtime rolls around!) Plus, I LOVE food but have no hunger for much right now. I read a study that women tend to lose weight when they drink because they substitute alcohol for food; whereas men tend to gain because they supplement alcohol with food.

I also dropped about 10-12 pounds off my 110 pound frame…it was a lot for me. I couldn’t eat from the lack of appetite. After six months of this…I found that I was using the weight loss/food restriction as a control thing…since my life was so out of control!!
I would then see pictures of me and notice how my face looked older….I didn’t like that look so I started to do Yoga and eat a little more. I am just about a year from DDay and I feel like I look better than ever (between putting on a few pounds and toning my muscles from yoga!) It has helped my self esteem some….God knows I had none for so so long!!
Best thing I found was to eat/drink milk shakes and peanut butter crackers. I lived on those two things for a few months when I honestly couldn’t eat a thing. Also…take a quarter of a Xanax about 30 minutes before a meal…it would calm my anxieties and I found I could eat better. A glass a wine or two also did that for me as well

From Jan 11 this year I've gone from 140 to 113. People I hardly know have made comments about the loss, though they think it's from chasing around my hyper lil midget. I wear baggy clothing a lot and people can still tell just looking at my face. :/
I spent a lot of time forgetting to eat. I still have to be reminded from time to time.

I lost 20-25 lbs from DDay to about 4 months later.
I have kept it all off!
I found last Saturday that Mens Wearhouse will do free alterations for the life of the suit (if you bought it there). I finally got my black suit in there - pants needed to be taken in at the waist, seat & crotch, and jacket had to be massively taken in as well. Thank God it was FREE - would've been expensive, especially the jacket. That suit looked like I was wearing someone else's clothes.
3+ years after DDay, I figure that weight is off for good.
BTW, I maybe needed to lose 5 lbs, not 5 times that amount! 20-25 lbs made a huge difference in me.

I lost 40 lbs within the first 4 weeks after dday! I physically couldn't bring myself to eat and when I did I couldn't keep anything down. I did continue to lose weight but it slowed down and finally leveled off.

But seriously? You have to take care of you.
What is causing you to lose weight? You said you are eating, but are you eating enough or do you have no appetite. So you have a lot of nervous energy? Are you throwing up from the anxiety?
You could sneak a few extra calories in by drinking something other than water. Maybe Vitamin Water or juice or something. (not soda, though!)
12/18/15 found out my now EX boyfriend was trolling CL for underage girls. From the cops. The fun never stops.

I know what you mean. In the past year, I've gone from 240lbs (I'm 6"3"), to about 175. I weighed 170 in high school.
Like others, I need to remind myself to eat. For the longest time, I couldn't keep down what I did eat. I found that eating smaller portions, and eating more often, almost constant snacking helps me.....

It's not just eating. Stress like this causes the body to release cortisol, which causes weight loss.
Which is why antidepressants can help.
I got down to 102 pounds. I looked like an Auschwitz victim.
