Since we're talking about sailing - here's DD9 (at the time) at the wheel - she's fearless and would be pretty excited climbing up on the yard.

Since this picture thread is still alive, I'll add a new picture of me and Brightbeauty at Disney on my birthday.

Darkbeast, what a LOVELY photo!
Issaqah, you have a darling daughter. I have an admission for you though. I'm a LOT more comfortable in those large tall ships than the smaller ones. When they heel over and run, there's a lot of boat in the water to come back up with. I've had a couple of almost knock-downs in the smaller (yeah, like in any other place a 40' would be considered "small"
sailboats and I get nervious.
And yes, we are clipped on once we get to our workstations. Until that time, we free climb because there isn't a way to clip, climb, and not end up on the deck if you fall anyway. So we hold on TIGHT!
Imagine a ship trying to set sail while towing an anchor. Cutting free is not a gift to the anchor. You must release that burden, not because the anchor is worthy, but because the ship is.

Thanks, DS! The one of me and him just makes me happy to look at. When we are together, I can't stop smiling.
Actually, when we are apart I smile, too, thinking of him.
And Rachel, you are gorgeous! I love your hair.
