It could be triggery for some people.
It isn't the best thing I have read but it's not the worse.
It's a bit like a bad soap.

Infidelity doesn't bother me but based on your review, it doesn't sound very good. Thanks, NEH.

I'm with Hope. Infidelity doesn't trigger me, but "bad soap"--think I'll skip it, too.
Am reading a very fun book called "The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry." Suspect it has infidelity, but it is starting out delightfully.
NEH, takes place in England, so you may enjoy it even more than I am.

I have not read this but my sister has. Her overall review was..."meh".
She said it wasn't bad.. wasn't good. Just sort of "meh".

There are too many great books to settle for "meh".
And I should have said that infidelity doesn't trigger me not that it doesn't bother me. Sheesh.

Agreed Hope.. and I was such a Potter fan that I know I will be unfair if I read it and expect magic and to be enthralled. Again, I shouldn't .. but I know I would.
Going to check out that other book Skye is recommending as I have learned over the years if Skye loves it.. I will too.

It's a shame about A Casual Vacancy because the story did have potential.
A local parish councilor drops dead suddenly creating a "casual vacancy" on the parish council.
It could have been an interesting, funny book and she does have some interesting characters in the book, but somehow it just didn't work.
