Well we used to have silly threads like this all the time but on New Years Eve 2008, ToddC had organized an online party. I can't remember if it started at 5pm EST or 6 pm EST. It was full by 10:45pm and a 2nd thread started that got over 500 posts ringing in the New Years all the way thru the Pacific time zone.
