I am looking for an app or software that will track iphone usage: text, emails, photos. That sort of thing.
It does not need to be invisible, WW will know I am adding it and it OK with it. Plus we want to try it out as a possibility for our kids. if it works well we will also tell the kids what we have access to. Our intent is not to spy, but make it clear that we have access to everything. Any thoughts would be appreciated. I know many might fall on both sides of this issue and I would love to hear what others think.

iPhones come with a free iCloud account (you just sign up for an email account @icloud.com) which is a free way of accessing the information on the phone.
On the iPhone itself, you can set it so that all your emails, texts, photos are backed up to the iCloud. You would need to read more on how that works and how to view/retrieve that information (some things are viewable online and some things can only be restored to the iPhone, not viewed online at iCloud). You can log into iCloud online and view the contents of the iPhone that have been assigned to iCloud backup there, but iCloud is best used when an iPhone is lost or erased and the information on iCloud can then be "restored" to the iPhone.
You can also take an iPhone and back it up to iTunes and view everything using a free mac application like Wondershare's Dr Fone.
But be aware that once something has been deleted from an iPhone it's just a matter of time before it gets overwritten by new texts, pics, emails, etc. and is no longer viewable.
Spyware is still the easiest, most user-friendly real-time approach.

I've been looking at an option called "recover it" - just google spyware for iPhone and you'll find companies that offer solutions. I don't think I can mention specifics on here.
The tricky part of monitoring iPhones is that new iOS updates are always coming out & then the software may not work once the software has been upgraded.
