It only took my lawyer contacting his lawyer to get a response.
And, get this, he's taking Teslet on vacation to Disney World. How appropriate...and not cheap.
And the tax return? He says the tax place screwed it up and he's waiting for it to get straightened out. Uh-huh...sure. This tax place doesn't screw stuff up unless you provide them with the wrong information or lie.
Oh and he says that he'll have me paid in full in a couple of weeks.
Raise your hand if you've heard that one before.
Fuck. This. Guy.
He didn't speak specifically to the unpaid child support...think I'll proceed on the garnishment. I don't want the next 14 years playing out like this.

Hmmm...interesting. He has money to take teslet to Disney, but no money for the tax return and child support. What a doofbunny. You always amaze me with your ability to stay calm and levelheaded. I'm glad you are going the garnishment route.

Tesla,
GARNISH! For your sanity, if nothing else.
My BS friend implemented this immediately when she was separating from her WH. She said, "why would I trust this lying douche to pay me the right amount, on time?"
He's still a douche, still lying and still sleeping with MOW. But BS gets the same amount of money, twice a month, via garnishment and direct deposit. One less major hassle to deal with.
Don't rely on his good will. Garnishment is your friend

Garnishing XH's salary was one of the best life decisions I've ever made! He'd "promise" to pay me CS and then always had a reason why he didn't have it. I went through a few weeks of that BS and took him straight to court. "Child Support Tuesday" is my favorite day of the week!

Seriously, FTG.
Definitely go for the garnishment. I'm not even giving my STBX the option. We are doing garnishment right off the bat. He is totally financially irresponsible so I know I'd never get paid on time. Fortunately, he agreed with me and has no issues with garnishment.

I needed that laugh!
I just can't imagine going through the continuous bullshit of letting him decide that other things are more important than the mandated support of his son.
The sooner Teslet's support is automatically deducted, the better.
The Disney World thing isn't really bothering me at all. (Of course, I already knew about it for the last few months...Teslet does talk to me!) It's just another big smack up the side of the head of sensory overload, shock and awe parenting bullshit. Yeah, Teslet is going to have a fucking awesome time...but it's not like it's going to deepen their father-son relationship. Ex-shat's brother and kids are going. I'm assuming stripper whore and baby are going. Ex-shat does not do trips well. He HATES crowds. HATES heat. HATES being patient.
Sure, it's going to be fun for Teslet but I'll put money on him remembering his favorite rides, seeing his favorite characters and playing with his cousins. I'm guessing he's not going to have any earth shattering break-throughs with dad who will be busy self medicating away his anxiety.
And as far as the tax refund...if the tax place did screw it up then it just couldn't have happened to a more deserving fucktard. Either way, I will eventually get my share. And most importantly, he knows now that I'm not going to let him do whatever the fuck he wants just to keep the peace...like I used to back in the marriage.

Last I heard Disney world is in another state. Is he allowed to take the child out of state without your permission ? Personally I think the kid could use food and housing above a trip to Disney. This guy is gonna string you along with his bullshit lies. Stop listening to it and garnish his ass ASAP.
