My very lovely teaching assistant's birthday is tomorrow.

I forgot, but my friend reminded me soon enough to get the cheesecake we planned.

So... JRC runs to the store, picks up a cheesecake and a few items.... goes to the checkout.

I finished my purchase and then panicked because I couldn't find my wallet...

I asked the stranger behind me... "Do you have my wallet?"

He said no...

I look all around me... panic rising and then...

Oh... it's in my backpack purse, on my back, where it is supposed to be...

I apologized to the poor stranger behind me and slunk out of the store like an idiot.

No, an idiot would have created a screaming scene insisting the stranger behind her had it.

At first when I read it, I thought you were confused and thought he was FWSO or something and holding it for you

I've heard about going to the grocery store to meet people but I just don't think accusing them of theft is a good way to do it.

That's the best part, because for some reason her brain said, the guy behind you must have it.

My mind works the same way unfortunately.
