OK so, I got a puppy but that's another story and the Mrs said we can keep her!!

She's a red/white Boxer- chunky and gorgeous!!

We already have a staffy/collie cross- white/black with a black spot over one eye and he's called Atlas as in the Titan... We're thinking keeping with Greek Mythology but not something we'd sound stupid shouting in the park!!

And she's a girl so... Needs to be a girls name...

Help?!

This is harder than I thought!

Edited to add- oops put 'he' in the title... Definitely a 'she' unless something's gone horribly wrong!!

Thought about Athena or maybe Calypso since she was Atlas' daughter!

My daughter suggested Sotirius- like 'no babe, he's just Greek.' He lives down the road ha

No one changes unless they want to. Not if you beg them. Not if you shame them. Not if you use reason, emotion, or tough love. There is only one thing that makes someone change: their own realization that they need to.

Eos makes me think of a VW ha...

Oh no not Medusa- too scary, I couldn't look at her

Persephone- again a bit scary!! At least Calypso's just an ice lolly... Ha

If she was a boy I think we'd have gone for Icarus but- when I went to see them she was just too gorgeous!!

How about selene? I think she's maybe too daft for selene though!!

I like Freya or Frigg ... Both goddess names ...

Freya I think is pretty and graceful sounding ... although a boxer pup is prolly anything but. I LOL'ed at Frigg ... when you get mad at her and yell FRIGG !!!! Cause your upset not cause your calling her ... Or all normal like at the park your happily calling out FRIGG ....

Okay maybe not Frigg ...

If you want to go with Greek mythology, I think it would be cool to name a dog The Kraken, that way, whenever the dog wants to go out, you can yell at the kids

Release The Kraken!

Your mileage may vary... in accordance with the prophecy.

Do not back up. Severe tire damage.

How about Gaia - goddess of the Earth. Or Nyx, who was goddess of the night and also the daughter of Chaos, and Chaos was the grandmother of Zeus. Or if the puppy is a real rampager, call her Chaos! That's appropriate, as Chaos did not have a human form.

Be careful what you wish for the most - you may get it.

The Mrs likes Chaos... I tried out 'nyx' and my little boy started say 'knickers' then giggling!

Rhea sounds a bit like rear.

If my dog was called kraken- would it be Krak for short? Ha
