I just saw "The Heat." Liked it a lot - funny. Melissa McCarthy is hilarious. I also really enjoyed the swearing. I get some kind of weird enjoyment out of hearing grown-ass professional women swear. It feels like such a rebellion. And fuck yeah
, I'll probably go to a movie. Probably Monsters University. I can recommend White House Down for pure eye candy with Channing Tatum and Jamie Foxx.
I'll probably also go to one of the local small town celebrations and fireworks. Can't beat small town celebrations.

Just saw the Heat on Sunday. Very funny but LOTS of swearing.
I don't know what we are doing. They have cancelled the fireworks because we are in such drought. We wanted to go away but money is short.

I think Despicable Me 2 starts on the 3rd or 4th. Might have to see that and Monster U. I like that plan!

I'm planning on Despicable Me 2 and the Lone Ranger. I may even pay for both movies!

Lone Ranger! Johnny Depp! Armie Hammer! I'll never be able to decide now. Good thing it's a four day weekend for me!

We have a drive in double feature of Despicable Me 2 and Monsters University... with fireworks during the intermission. I am thinking we might have to go early and claim our spot on the grass. Take a cooler, some watermelon and couple of pizzas...
Now THAT's the way to see a movie.

My parents spend the day at the theater... they go to the earliest show, which they pay for... and then theater jump for the rest of the day and see two or three more movies... depending on their energy level.
I think it's deplorable... but they've been doing it for years.

We took the kids to see Monsters U this weekend. It was really good. The adults liked it as much as the kids did.
On the morning of the 4th I plan to run the Peachtree Road Race for the first time. My afternoon plans include beer, passing out and maybe a heart attack

We went to see World War Z last weekend. Loved it.
Must read the book, now.
We are having a picnic...grillng steak and asparagus.
Then, going to bed early, because while I get Thursday off, I do not get Friday off, and I have to be in the office at 7 am.
So no fireworks for me.
