I made the mistake of opening OMG you'll never fucking sleep ever again.... got to the pic of a guys hand with a HUGE spider next to it.... and threw up!!

I am talking a full on, real life as I was sooo scared

So, cleaned myself up- posted a response to say how grossed out I was and how I'd thrown up then thought- "MrsD just click on another thread and get back into the funzone"

So, click happy I went to 'OMG Glitter'

God sure hates me today that's fer sure.

I am literally barfing and laughing at my misfortune on opening up both threads hahaha!!

Note: If you go onto the Glitter post there's a picture of a huge spider wearing a santa hat!! A Santa hat!!

Cue screaming and some cursing for my double fright!!

I posted to you in the omg you'll never sleep thread.

I understand your fear. Even though I posted some pictures there I do get it.

MrsD, I was traumatized earlier this week with all the spiders running rampant around here.

There was a thread that NIK posted for those of us that were creeped out. It's the Teddy Bear Week thread. Way cuter than those flipping spiders.

I am almost too traumatised to click on any more 'fun' topics

I do see the irony but am also currently in stealth mode... eyes darting left to right

I may be stuck right here on this sofa until FWH returns home and THAT won't be for another 10 hours!!!

I don't even open them. If I have to I squint, scroll to the bottom and then post whatever. I have a pretty legitimate spider phobia and need to avoid those threads. Not trying to be a poor sport.. I just have an incident that makes it so I can't even go there.

Meta- maybe the Mods can issue a foghorn warning to all us arachnophobes? I know those threads are cheaper than Ex-Lax but .....

Is there a spider icon we can put at the side of spider posts? That would be a good way to protect those who don't want to see inside the thread.

Or something that will mean "spider thread" without being a picture of a spider?

Hahahaha- Nope! There will be spiders crawling all over SI then

Maybe it should be made compulsory for all members to NOT talk about spiders.

Yeah- I liking my idea better

Hmmmmmm. Us spider likers will have to retreat to PM's? Might have to start a thread "spider people only" or "everything spiders...members you've been warned" lol

As long as no threads start up with pictures of zombies all is good. Zombies freak me out.

Hahahaha Dragn- you've made me chuckle!!

Let's get this straight- I have more chance of having a spider drop on my head when I am least expecting it than you have of a zombie dropping onto yours!!

Although that picture is erasing my thoughts on large spiders and making me laugh so hard

My wh and his father were/are right into zombie movies. 90% of the movie collection at the IL's is about zombies...

When wh and I go out in the evening to take out the dog and for me to have a smoke, wh walks down to the edge of the field and begins to make freaky moaning noises.

Ya thanks hun!!!

The thought of some man made virus turning people into mindless, flesh ripping zombies makes me want to board up every window and door and take up arms. My heart pounds thinking about it. Ugh!

Actually I thought Broevil would have beat you to it

It's anything that has to do with trying to survive in a situation of swarming, trying to kill and eat me (insert scary something here).

Could even be bunnies. I love bunnies but if you put 10,000 in a field, hopping toward me with blood covered teeth I am going to scream and hide in the basement.

So yes I like spiders but say something like the movie Eight Legged Freaks occurs... I am outta here!

Makes me think of how much trouble we would all be in if they used hummingbirds in the movie The Birds...

I have three feeders up and while sitting on the porch have nearly been impaled by them as FOUR began to fight over one particular feeder. The sound from thousands of them in a swarm would be deafening.

Just saying

Awwwww. So jealous! Would love to attend a g2g.

Wh has left for his night shift. I am home alone....cue Jaws theme music... I'll most likely fall asleep eventually due to being exhausted but I'm sure it'll be riddled with nightmares.

Last night I came out for a smoke. Wh ran out to tell me the hallway door opened then footsteps went upstairs. He was actually freaked out. We know there's a presence here. Been confirmed by others who lived here. When wh does his night shift I sleep with the light on
