I would not give any of my furbabies away for any amount of money, but currently River is going bat shit crazy.

She just spent 4 minutes doing laps in our bedroom. She's been for walks. She's had a snack. She's gone to the bathroom. She's played with us and Mulder and Anya. She's chewed on her cow's foot.

How can this sweet girl be such an evil source of chaos.

I think it's in her job description somewhere.

Your mileage may vary... in accordance with the prophecy.

Do not back up. Severe tire damage.

I think so.

She is now dead asleep on our bed. She wore herself out. She will be like this now until 5:30 tomorrow morning when it's time to have breakfast and go for our run.

Oh yes .. the zoomies as we call them. They aren't too bad right now because our dog is only 3 months. But man I am going to get the heck out of the way when he zooms at 80lbs.

It's fun to watch.. from a safe distance

Go softly my sweet friend. You will always be a part of who I am.

Roxy gets the zoomies (love that term ) when she gets outside. She'll tear-ass all over the yard and we have to watch out since she'll damn near knock us over if we're not careful.

Fortunately she steers clear of the road (still a bit nervous about that after Bella) and prefers to explore in the woods and weeds surrounding the yard.

So as much as I like "crazy" dogs, I think she should stay with you.

We can't let River off leash at all outside. She will run and not return. She loves the dog park though.

I do like the term zoomies though. Although at 50 pounds, I don't think it's so much zoomie as descruto.

Roxy won't come when we call. She'll look at us as if saying "But I'm not *done* yet" (imagine that in a 5 year old whiney voice) but she will come back when she's done. If the door's open she'll go right in, if not she'll lay by the door until we go in/open it.

Not River. In fact that's why my friend had to give her up. She kept running away and would be gone for days. we've had her almost a year now and the only time she's bolted was when her harness broke on a walk. She was three blocks ahead of me in no time. I lady pulled over and got her for me.

Anya and Mulder won't run away and come back when we call them. River has that hunting dog instinct and she's gone. But that also makes her a great running partner. She keeps me company and loves to run.
