Very nice! It's an honor being nominated. I always thought I'd be nominated for my kindness, eloquence and can do spirit, and gentle encouragement, but no, my use of profanity...
Which I actually love. I like my cusses sometimes.

I'd like to thank God, my parents, the academy. FREE TIBET!

This thread is awesome! An enterprising soul should host a "best of" thread (are all 11 quote threads still out there?). Then, the top 365 could be made into an SI calendar to raise money for the site. Too much?

Anyway, some of this stuff is priceless, and needs to be preserved. Keep 'em coming, folks!

Sigh... how did I end up here?

Oh, and since its been my quote for so long, I may as well post it here:

"Guilt wallows and despairs, remorse rolls its sleeves up and gets to work fixing what's broken." -- Inchoate

It don't get no better than that! Thanks Inchoate!

In the thread about wifetress cutting off her DD's hair, Gold Dust Woman had some wisdom (and strength in not buying into their drama):

I try not to deal with xWH and OW/Wife because they seem to thrive when they are mutually attacking me. They turn on each other when I'm unavailable to pick on.

I'm not going to be the boost they need to keep their M going.

"Being in love" first moved them to promise fidelity: this quieter love enables them to keep the promise. *CS Lewis*

ungracie gets a two-fer from me. Two great lines in the same post! Post was about how her WHs sex may not have been that great in retrospect. I think the quotes can be used in isolation or in tandem:

"when you're wearing rose coloured glasses you can't see the red flags", and

"No love to multiply inside an affair, only division. One leaves with less then what they started with."

Sigh... how did I end up here?

As far as being alone for the rest of your life, don't think like that. You know how when you learn how to drive, the instructor tells you when you drive in the dark that you shouldn't "overdrive your headlights"? That's just a fancy way of saying, don't look don't look too far down the road; keep focused on what's right in front of you. That's kind of what we have to do right now.

Willowiris in thread about Westboro baptist protesting Betty Ford funeral

If I ever die and they protest my funeral, it will mean that i lived my life right.

I would also want a counter protest full of drag queens and a champagne fountain. Write it down.

The life of every man is a diary in which he means to write one story, and writes another; and his humblest hour is when he compares the volume as it is with what he vowed to make it.

biological/physical urges. sigh.
last time I was at the grocery store, I was hungry, famished really. since I am, as a human, biologically programmed to seek and eat food when I'm hungry, I suppose that I would just walk in and start grazing at the produce aisle or maybe diving head first into the frozen food section, or really following my biological urges and start ripping open that lovely brisket with my teeth and filling my belly.

there's this thing called evolution. also free will. oh and lets add in a little thing I call choice.

buy it? not even if it was on qvc 1/2 price and on flex pay.

this comes up from time to time and it never ceases to piss me off.

Unfound in a discussion on the difference between why men and women cheat, and the men who say it's biological.
