For anyone that loves Brene Brown's work, she's got a new book coming out on September 12, 2017.

Braving the Wilderness: The Quest for True Belonging and the Courage to Stand Alone

...in case you didn't know and want to pre-order

Thanks so much! Can't believe this is the first I'm hearing of it. Her website used to be one of my regulars, before all this A bs took over my life anyway.

Thanks! I did not know about about this. (And my book budget funds are reassigned in priority yet one more time.)

Just finished reading it. It's pretty good.

One of my favourite quotes from the book:

Stop walking through the world looking for confirmation that you donít belong. You will always find it because youíve made that your mission. Stop scouring peopleís faces for evidence that youíre not enough. You will always find it because youíve made that your goal. True belonging and self-worth are not goods; we donít negotiate their value with the world. The truth about who we are lives in our hearts. Our call to courage is to protect our wild heart against constant evaluation, especially our own. No one belongs here more than you.

For anyone else who has read it, what'd you think?

i've not read it but i sure love that quote.

I know someone else who is reading this book and I saw it at B&N today. I had a budget to buy one book and found 4 that I really wanted... so Brene Brown will have to wait until my next comma check.

I have the book - I received a free copy at her speaking engagement here in Austin. She was amazing! I haven't read the book yet, but plan to soon.

Brene is a continual source of support.
