I stumbled upon the first in the Odd Thomas series right before the holiday and loved it. Subsuquently I purchased and read books 2, 3 and 4. Does anyone know if there is a book 5 in this series? Looks to me like the fourth book (Odd Hours) was published in 2008... so maybe there has been something since that I have missed?

Thanks for any info!

He did a graphic novel called "Odd is On Our Side" at some point. If you check out his website (www.deankoontz.com) he writes a lot about Odd Thomas and why he wrote the books. Just type in Odd Thomas in the search bar.

I would be interested to know how you like them when you are done. I loved the first three. The fourth... meh. Not sure I finished it.

Thanks for the info everyone.

Caregiver - I'm much like you. I loved the first three, and while I finished the fourth, it certainly wasn't my favorite. There were too many loose strings that never came together, and the overall tone was so much more melancholoy. Still, I'm interested, because I think SOMETHING must happen next.

Grace - I almost downloaded Odd is on Our Side to my nook this past weekend, but gladly I read the reviews first. It seems that "graphic novel" is more of a comic book, which is not my style. In addition, it is set back in the day before Stormy passed away, and it seems from the reviews that it really is not much new.

I'm not a fan of Dean Koontz, though I've read several of his books.

I always feel that his problem is he doesn't know how to finish a book.

Maybe it's because before he fininhes one he is already starting 10 more.

Just my opinion.

In life, much of what one grieves one never had.
