I went to the California National Railroad Museum today (which was GREAT, btw), and in the gift shop I noticed several books about Orphan Trains. I got home and immediately bought 2 for my iPad to start reading tonight.
Has anyone read anything about the Orphan Trains, or even heard of them before? I never even knew about them, and it sounds so interesting!

Yes! One of my history professors briefly mentioned the orphan trains in passing and it sparked my interest. There are some great websites about some of the survivors as well, though also terribly tragic.
What are you going to do when he leaves you?
