with every step a flower blooms

I've been doing mindfulness meditation for a while, and one of the exercises i like best is walking meditation.

for those who dont know, mindfulness meditation is all about anchoring yourself in "the now" not worrying about a future that hasn't happened yet, or the past we cannot change, just being in the now, and accepting it as it is, without judgement of ourselves.

i find that when I get down I'm usually worrying about the past or the future, but when i come back to the now i know I'm exactly where i should be.

i know i have to take this journey.

The walking meditation helps because you concentrate on each step, not worrying about the next (the future), just being in each step.

and I've realized the mantra helps a lot with my NB journey.

I've got to be in every step, not worrying about the next, not trying to rush to the end.

just be.

so i wanted to share the mantra we use for the walking meditation in case it helps anyone struggling with a weekend FML implosion.

“the mind can go in a thousand directions, but on this beautiful path, I walk in peace and alone. With each step, the wind blows. With each step, a flower blooms.

Think i might get this tattooed on my feet.

When he's your Romeo,
and you're not his Juliet,
it means you are Rosaline
- and you survive the play.

I love this.

The Power of Now got me through the worst of it.

Time to dig back into it, been so busy that I tend to drift away from practising it.

Thanks for the reminder.

I'm taking this with me to the beach tomorrow.

Meditation is almost impossible for ADD, control-freak me, but I love the concept.

You are important and you matter. Your feelings matter. Your voice matters. Your story matters. Your life matters. Always.

Faith - its funny meditation is one of those things i dipped in and out of for years it always gets forgotten about but there's always a reminder from the universe that i need to practice again! Glad to be yours today!
