Wisdom is everywhere. I found this:
I'm not seeking a relationship in order to have a sense of self-worth, validation or as the means to achieve happiness. I don't believe those can truly be rooted in your relationship with another person anyway
on a OLD profile about a year ago. I liked it so much I copied it and put it on my fridge but didn't write down where I found it. I look at it often when I am feeling "needy" to remind me of the truth that I am already enough.
Today, while looking at profiles I had already looked at (it happens, I've been OLD a long time now :) I read the words again. I sent an email to the man who wrote them to say thank you and to let him know that his words touched another human being.
I was afraid it might seem creepy, but he said he thought it was a nice compliment.
His quote is now attributed to his on line profile name.
